There was a deafening silence that morning in the apartment’s kitchen, Aunt May hadn’t said anything more to Peter. Not after that night he came in wearing his suit. The shock of finding out that he was the hero swinging around New York and putting himself on the front line of danger must have really set in. Peter sat at the table alone with his bowl of cereal, pushing a few pieces of the soggy rice pieces along with his spoon. Watching them drift lazily with such intensity, you would think he was involved in a game of chess.

Hearing the click of the lock from behind her door, followed with her stepping out. Peter’s head shot up in the air to meet his aunt’s gaze. “ Hey. Aunt May -- Good morning...um..I was wondering, since it’s Saturday, maybe we could go out to the park and get pizza for lunch...? “

The only other time Tony seemed this shaken was his screw up on the ferry, he claimed that Peter’s death would be his own doing. That set the guilt into the young hero then and now as he was reminded of that moment. “ I know...I - I just..saw you needed help and did what you would do. We’ve talked about this but I’m better off here at your side -- learning -- than down there not knowing what to do next. “ His own voice told of the younger man’s fear from the near death experience.

A feeble attempt to try and justify his actions. Peter met Tony’s gaze then peered behind his shoulder at the other older male, the Wizard, standing with an impatient look. “ Hm at least we got the wizard...? Where are we going now? “ Strange gave a defeated look before turning away from the pair.

The ship had put some distance between them and Earth. Tony would have to keep Peter at his side now, a detour would only take away time they could be losing on keeping Thanos from acquiring the Wizard’s necklace.

Peter’s heart raced as if it were going to burst out of his chest at any moment. He hadn’t felt this scared since a year ago when he was pinned under the collapsed beam. This is what he wanted, what he signed for, and right now he had to focus on what was needed for him at the moment. To get back inside that ship. Desperately clinging to the thick rope of webbing with all of his life ( literally on the line ), Peter began to pull himself into the large opening until he was in.

Pushing himself away with the last of his strength he watched Tony step forward to seal the opening. The suits mask removed itself to allow for Peter to take in more air without feeling confined. “ I’m okay! I’m okay, Mister Stark. “ He gasped out, propping himself against a part of the ship that looked the least likely to cause the ship problems as it had less controls and buttons. Finally filling his lungs with the oxygen and his heart rate return to normal

“ You know, when I woke up this morning, fighting aliens and going into space was not the field trip I had in mind. “ An exasperated breath was given before passing Tony a weakened smile.
