THE MYSTERIOUS BENEDICT SOCIETY (2021)

I’ve seen some people expressing anxiety over the show being moved to Disney+, and to be honest, I’m not in the same camp.

You see, it was already a Disney show to begin with. 20th Century Fox Television and Hulu are both owned by the Disney Corporation and have been  since before the show was first announced. 

That means that nothing has actually changed with the people who actually make or executive produce, the show. 

Now, the reason I see this as a positive sign is because Disney+ is the Walt Disney Company’s number one streaming service right now. Sure they have Hulu and ESPN, but all their major big budget films and tv shows (Soul, The Mandalorian etc) are going on Disney+. 

Keep in mind that this move happens to coincide exactly with the standard amount of time it takes a tv show of this nature to make rough cuts of its first few episodes. 

This suggests that the Television executives liked what they saw so much, they decided it was worth moving the entire show onto their flagship service.
