On Monday, January 23rd, we are honored to have as our guest Romeo Saganash.  Romeo Saganash originates from Waswanipi Cree Nation in northern Quebec.  He has been Deputy Grand Chief of the Grand Council of Crees, Director of Quebec relations and international affairs with the Grand Council of Crees, and vice-chairman of the Cree Regional Authority.  He was also one of the chief negotiators for the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples. He is the MP for the Quebec riding of Abitibi--James Bay--Nunuvik--Eeyou and is currently running for the leader of the NDP Party and is the first Indigenous person to do so.

On Monday, January 16th, Indigenous Waves is honored to have as our guest Dr. Pamela Palmater. Pamela is Mi'kmaq from the Eel River Bar First Nation in New Brunswick. She is a lawyer, an Associate Professor in the Department of Politics and Public Administration at Ryerson University, and Chair of the Centre of Indigenous Governance.

We are incredibly excited to speak with Pamela.  In the meantime, here is a link to a video interview with Dr. Palmater on the excellent CBC show 8th Fire.
