The Indian humanoid robot is officially named Shalu. A science teacher and a robotics expert Mr Dinesh Patel developed the first intelligent humanoid robot in India as a research project & is inspired by Robot Sophia and the movie Robot (Enthiran). The Council of Scientific and Industrial Research helped Mr Patel in developing the Indian robot. Shalu speaks 9 Indian languages and 38 foreign languages.
