Education minister of India Mohan Yadav, laid the foundation stone for the world's first Vedic clock at the 300-year-old Jiwaji Observatory in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh. In 1719, Maharaja Sawai Raja Jaisingh of Jaipur built the Jiwaji observatory. The clock, which is expected to cost Rs 1.62 crore, is intended to familiarise people with Vedic time computation.
