✵ 𝐒𝐂𝐘𝐋𝐋𝐀 𝐔𝐏𝐂𝐋𝐈𝐅𝐅. cyla. another youth jessamine upcliff had taken upon herself to cultivate. to nurture; draping her in the heftiest jewels that looked like blood drops or as if pieces of the sea had been carved out to circle throat and wrists, gold and lines of pearls and gems the size of an egg. preeminent educators for all the children within her household once jessamine acquired more—the word of choice and freedom laid out on a silver platter by matriarch and wealth held under thumb. nonetheless overindulge did not breed an ‘above others attitude’ in the second scion of house upcliff more so a creature of inbetweens.

✵ is possibly the daughter of nobility and was born to a life of luxury yet readily given up for inheritance left nothing to be desired and house had enough spares or was born to poverty and she was left with a less than enthusiastic caretaker and nothing to her name, or as murmurs persisted from behind fascinators and fans a bastard heritage, no one was certain. yet nothing was denied nor acknowledged furthermore as nobles do attention drifted to the next morsel of spectacle eagerly stomached than the unknown origins that left one empty or dead given the weaving otherworldly history surrounding its inhabitants.

✵ the seat of witch isle lay vacant after their mother died and even before that her older brothers’ abandonment departure, sagacious scylla took the reigns of tremulous leadership among a council of vultures and the continued rearing of her sisters. crafting her own ichor saturated repute instead of one induced by marriage, coaxing dread for she takes their sinister reputation to heart and beyond, fostering connections internal and external giving rise to the idea of lecanomancy being used upon these encounters meant to boost affluence and somehow knowing which avenue to follow and avoiding ventures aimed towards failure—in her eyes being ‘ what benefit would this be to us?’ a countenance she adapts with everything in life. 

✵ in those moments of potential impermanent power scylla 𝘸𝘢𝘴 ruling lady, didn’t know how to feel about the role nonetheless even without it’s gained not earned authority, respect; scylla was still proud enough to have used it to her own purpose in advance of the return of it’s ‘true heir’ her brother syrio after the letter written by herself was sent off to vaguely mention the passing of their mother. assumed he wouldn’t show yet desired to let him know as his name was the last to have left their mothers’ lips—this information did not become gifted knowledge until the last day of the funeral during a spat and the stay before the trip to winterfell was upon, split house having answered the call. the lady going forth for her own esoteric rationale.

✵  𝐕𝐄𝐕𝐈𝐄𝐍𝐍𝐄.  vevina. second progeniture of former ruling lord lucas and late ruling lady anyta of house blackwood; day and night fussy infant vevienne whom wouldn’t calm for none ( a possible insight into how she’d be grown; forevermore grasping ) adolescent vevienne the child who had spectral fingers slipping around her throat in order to puppeteer her cords it was hissed; clutching at her mothers’ skirts—nails digging into the skin of her cheeks voice cooing of making herself useful, valuable even then her future was not guaranteed, still tightrope lifestyle upon someone elses volatility—which then transferred to the eldest child for the second born had still yet to make something for herself. found it easier to remold the vacant fragments gifted by parents into something resembling self. their self-serving nature. their greed most so.

✵ was the first stepping stone in younger siblings being subjected to petty utterances on tongue. comeuppance ( mellifluously spoken by apocryphal lips ), as if it were an affront that they did not follow in line for the grand scheme their parents had for each of the girls. never sons, that had grown bitter on fathers’ tongue engraved itself upon vevienne; inauguration of barbarous behaviors that would have effects upon those she so selfishly victimized. did she even think of them now? (—yes).

✵ first betrothal had been a continuation in her self induced fate—dramatic to assume the rest of her life would be spinsterhood after what happened with the stark heir—the engagement hadn’t even lasted long before dissolvement. a manner of reasons being tossed back and forth in the rumor mill but nothing concrete to assign either one with so it melted into the background merely to be supplanted by another entwinement with deeper pockets allegedly how quick it had risen out of the woodwork; but the blackwoods gaze had already been set to more more more from the beginning and little dutiful viv acquiesced. only time will tell where that union will end up in the pages of history. 

✵  handles the correspondence of house blackwood to help the eldest daughter share in the duties, important documents and the writing of letters in elegant script paired with glacéd tongue and flowery pirouettes and the mastery who’s who of the houses gifting the second eldest with a rather disquieting countenance ( though vevienne is far from being spy master material and her information gained is often needed to be fact checked several times by the pedant ) ; opsimath as time had been spent upon the song of parentals in youth and as age set to bones she has now devoted herself to other pursuits ‘to the betterment of house’—and towards benignant temperament.

✵ a nitpicker, likened to her mother, plucking fingers and eyes like carrion birds; piece by piece till whoever it is she has set her eyes on is remolded to own taste. had done so to her sisters, till ravella’s department caused vevienne to give pause. rethink herself in that aspect though the obsession has yet to completely vanish. still causes strife and grief.

✵ sorry not sorry but she detests her cousin, loathes the power imbalance caused by him wanting to take the seat of raventree hall from her sister and if it were up to vevienne; she would have already slipped him poison. at this point in time nonetheless she plays the part of docile simmering rage.

✵ disreputable chicanery in past current of bestowing upon recipients of her letters with tokens of fondness, indulgences; adept at making one feel significant to the blackwood till she comes calling for acts of kindness. all for the house.
