Incorrect Death Eater Quotes

We don’t see a lot of action on this blog anymore - or, more accurately, you lot don’t see much action for me. This account is mostly inactive, as most of you are aware, but the dream, as always, is that one day i’m going to be filling the queue to bursting every week, just like i used to.

In the meantime, though, i’ve gone back to writing, and right now i’m very excited about a new game that a few friends have put together: 

It’s a RIDDLE ERA RPG !!!!!! (!!!!!!!!!!)

This game is centered around the initial rise of Voldemort, set in 1955, and it’s pretty AU all things considered, since there isn’t a whole lot of set canon information from that time period. 

I’m very excited to see it get going, so as a favor to me (but mostly to yourself, and to my friends) please stop by and check them out. There’s lots of open skeletons, plans for a second batch (already), they accept OC’s, and they’re allowing members to start with two (2) characters! 

Uh, mostly wine and the outdoors. Did a fair amount of camping to keep away from the main stream media. Avoidance. I practiced avoidance.

I’ve also been practicing avoidance: hiding in my room like a teenager to avoid the people i live with and shitposting/memedealing on fb to flood out political posts being the chief avoidances among them xD 

You asked for a reply 😊. This year is not great. My masters feels like it'll never end. But I started a new job and I adore it. Love the people. Finding a balance between the two is very hard. My big thing for this year is I started reading again. Mostly fanfiction and teen crap from "my youth" but still, I havent read this persistently since I was a kid and I forgot how loud stories can be. It's so nice to be able to lose myself in a world for a bit 😊😊

UGH! MY HEART!! I love love love how optimistic you sound, and you are giving me so much hope! I’m sorry your masters is dragging out for you - i hear that’s pretty common, but it doesn’t take away at all how aggravating that must be for you with all the changes to education systems this year. <3 <3 Keep your chin up! You will get through it one way or another, and I believe in you.

 I’m not doing well, exactly, but I am staying as far from the pit of despair as I can, and I’m calling it progress, because every morning I wake up on the right side of the grass, and I’ve got another crack at trying to have a good day, and things have been getting easier, so it must be working!! 

I’ve been reading a lot, too, lately, and I have to say I super super super agree with you on this front! It’s so good to have throwbacks to devour with fresher, older eyes, I love it, I love all of this so much!!!!  And a new job!!! That is ALWAYS good news, ESPECIALLY when you love it. I am so happy for you, darling, i could just burst!

last i wrote you, iirc, i was asking you to send quotes that never got posted, and I want to apologize for that. Not necessarily because I feel consumed by guilt - i think we can all appreciate how tough this year has been - but because i missed an opportunity to play a part in keeping us going with laughter and amusement.

Today, i’m asking you this:

What has been getting you through 2020?? How are you doing?? Did you watch a new show? Did you find a new hobby? Are you doing well? Poorly?

As for me, I’ve been watching A LOT of documentaries, working every day,  spending most of my free time hiding in my room to avoid my housemates, and taring down the barrel at my upcoming 30th birthday. I’ve lost some friends, I’ve lost some family, but I am choosing to remain hopeful for a brighter future.

I want to express, again, how much i’ve missed you all - and i hope you’re all doing well! This year has been such a wild ride for me, and i can’t believe it’s nearly over. At it’s core, though, for me, this year has been a year where i’ve changed. it’s felt good, honestly. not all of it, of course - i had my lows, too - but, for the most part, as i look down the barrel at the end of 2019, and the last year of my 20s beginning directly after....i feel excited.

This year, I completely failed at keeping IDEQ’s queue running, and i’ve chosen to forgive myself for that, and i hope you will too. Though unintended, my hiatus(es) have helped me get excited about things again, especially about quotes. I watched so many cool new shows this year, movies, and i bet you did too. I can’t wait to quote them all.

So, hear it now, my first (i know, right? amazing) New Year’s Resolution™ (a little early, bc you know i’m not one to do things like anyone expects me to):

Draco: I said I'm ignoring you.

Pansy: ...

Amycus: Look, He's not seeing any recruits today. Okay?

Sirius: That's okay, buddy. We're from the union.

Amycus: The union?

James: We represent the fighters in all secret magical organizations, both evil and benign.

Amycus: Oh, of course.

Sirius: Are you feeling at all degraded or oppressed?

Amycus: A little. We don't even have dental.

James [to Sirius, shaking his head]: They don't even have dental.

Hotel Desk Clerk #1: No, you're not. You're Lucius Malfoy.

Pansy: I'm allowed to have plans on my birthday.

Draco [instantly]: I knew that. ..Already?

Pansy: Yeah, isn't that strange? It's the same day as last year.

Draco: Well, get yourself something nice from me.

Pansy: I already did.

Draco: Yeah? And?

Pansy: Oh, it's very nice... very tasteful. Thank you, Dray.

Andromeda: No, I’m dumping you, period. And then I’m gonna be with him. Period. If… that’s okay with him, question mark.

Ted Tonks: Totally. Exclamation point.

Narcissa: I did, I broke it-

Rodolphus: No. No, you didn’t. Rabastan?

Rabastan: Don’t look at me. Look at Amycus.

Amycus: What? I didn’t break it.

Rabastan: Hmm. That’s weird. How did you even know it was broken?

Amycus: Because it’s sitting right in front of us, and it’s broken.

Rabastan: No, it’s not!

Lucius: If it matters…probably not… Alecto was the last one to use it.

Alecto: Liar! I don’t even drink that crap.

Lucius: Oh, really? Then what were you doing by the tea stand at Hogsmeade earlier?

Alecto: I use the wooden stirrers to push back my cuticles. Everyone knows that, Lucius!

Narcissa: Alright, let’s not fight. I broke it, let me pay for it, Rodolphus.

Rodolphus: No. Who broke it?

Amycus: Rod, Bella’s been awfully quiet…

Bella: Really?!

Amycus: Yeah, really!

[Cut to Rodolphus in another room, the rest of them fighting in the background]

Rodolphus: Your best friend borrows your lip gloss...(dramatic gasp) without asking!

Rabastan: (dramatic gasp)

Rodolphus: What do you do? A. Find a new best friend, B. Push her down a flight of stairs, or C....

Andromeda: What!? It doesn't say that!

Rodolphus: Well yeah, but I think it should definitely be an option!

Wow, the holidays are rough. Happy new year, guys!

Life got pretty chaotic for me, again, for a while there, and so I want to apologize (for the millionth time) for letting the queue run out.

At any rate, it’s birthday week (for me and for Severus), so keep your eyes peeled. I’m going to be loading up the queue with some of my favorite quotes, from some of my favorite characters, and, come Wednesday, every quote posted will involve the OTHER birthday brat, Severus Snape!
