It's my 12 year anniversary on Tumblr 🥳

Before I take a break from social media (and entertainment in general) in order to focus on getting into grad school, I would like to take a moment to highlight a movie I had the opportunity to see early. Booksmarts. The is directed by Olivia Wilde and stars Beanie Feldstein and Kaitlyn Dever. I’m sure you’ve seen the trailers and thought this looks like a female version of Superbad. It kind of is but it’s so much funnier and has so much heart. I was smiling and laughing throughout the whole film and genuinely didn’t want it to end. It’s a great coming of age story about that transition from high school to college. As anyone who has experienced that transition can tell you, things really do change even though you don’t want them to. The female friendship in this film is spectacular and the chemistry between the leads is palpable. The movie also features a diverse range of characters without trying to be diverse. There is more I want to write about the film but I don’t want to go into spoiler territory and I’m sleepy. Anyways, this movie is a prime example of why different stories need to be told. Support female directors and writers. Support film by actually going to the movie theaters. 

According to the Oxford dictionary, a globalist is a person who advocates the interpretation or planning of economic and foreign policy in relation to events and developments throughout the world.

Which is not this 

“A globalist is a person that wants the globe to do well, frankly not caring about the country so much. You know, we can't have that”

This is the definition that Donald Trump gave of a globalist. First of all wouldn’t you want the world to do well that way you don’t have caravans of people fleeing Guatemala to come to this country? 

Donald Trump says he identifies as a nationalist. 

The Oxford dictionary definition of a nationist a person who strongly identifies with their own nation and vigorously supports its interests, especially to the exclusion or detriment of the interests of other nations.

I have no problem with people who strongly identify with their own nation but if you are doing it at the detriment of other nations then you really should go fuck yourself.
