“It’s not about visiting, sweetie. It’s about exciting adventure for danger and glory.”

Pause.

( Sukuna Belmont…? or would it be Shinmyoumaru Belmont? Belmont Sukuna? I always get confused with name order…)

“I should go on an adventure!”

“--But where...?”

Resting against the bridge a little, Parsee let her fingers to tap against the wooden frame while she stared at the other. Truly, it was the first time she saw the tiny princess, but she knew she was part of the surface in Gensokyo.

“Jealous of everything…but I’m glad you think the bridge to be nice…don’t you feel jealous of me instead?…it’s not every day one owns a bridge like mine.”

“Jealous of everything?” She-- didn’t really get it, tilting her head to the other side. “Wow, you must want a lot of things, huh...?”

Unfortunately, Parsee wouldn’t quite be getting the envy she might be hoping to pick up on...certainly there was some coveting of it from an appearance standpoint, but what the inchling was feeling was moreso just deflation at not having such a thing of her own merits, moreso than Parsee’s specifically.

“Yeah, it really is nice...”

“I wish my castle had a bridge like that...” 

What.  Castle, what.

“I mean, sure, lots of people can fly, but even if I land it, it just doesn’t look as good without a nice bridge like this to cross to the main entrance...”

“...”

“...I kinda wanna try to get a suntan.”

“The full moon is out tonight  It’s a good night for it and we should get a better view like this.”

Reimu did her best to lay still.  She wasn’t used to this at all, but she would humor Shin.  She was tempted to hug her, but she didn’t want to risk the bowl going out of control or anything.

“I really should talk about what I’ve been up to sometime…”

“Mmh. It... It should be quiet on the water. Peaceful, isolated...” Hopefully, Wakasagihime wouldn’t be up, still. Shin didn’t need her getting confused and snapping at the water’s surface. “Nobody should interrupt.”

Of course, that wouldn’t mean much if the Yakumo came calling. That woman seemed to be almost omniscient; and her ability to reach literally anywhere at any time didn’t help. Shin just had to hope for the best; that nothing would take Reimu from her for now.

“Just keep your promise to revert this before too long and I’ll be a good date, okay?  If you had asked I probably would have said yes.”

Reimu sighed.  She should be angry, but the inchling just seemed so self conscious.  She felt bad for ghosting her and most of Gensokyo for a few months, and wanted to make things right to her and most everyone, really.

Given the situation, one would be confused by the difference in behavior between the two. With how submissive she was acting, one might think Shin was the one being taken, despite the obvious reality, needing Reimu’s reinforcement to so much as remove them from the Shrine.

“--Right! Okay, then! Um...” 

Shin flew them out through the entryway, anxiously peering around. After all, Marisa could explode out into the open without any notice, or one of Reimu’s usual youkai guests could just pop in out of nowhere... Phew, nobody. Her dark deed was safe, for now.

“We’re...gonna be going to the lake now, then!”

Reimu wasn’t the only one affected by recent developments. Being so small, so often overlooked, meant overhearing information came easily. Did she mean to restore Reimu’s size? Most definitely.

When would she? ...She wasn’t sure herself. 

“Mmmh… for Gensokyo’s sake I hope you do.  I’m going to be useless in an incident if a bird decides to snap me up out of the sky.”

Still, Reimu can’t be too hard on Shinmyoumaru.  She laid down, trying not to smack her head against the lid.

“What’s your plan anyway?” The annoyance in her tone faded in that statement.  She wanted to give the inching an honest chance here, and did feel a bit guilty for going off.

In the closed space of Shinmyoumaru’s bowl, despite the low ceiling, it was...actually very nice. The lavender cushioning lining the bottom was pillowy soft, and a soft pink light glowed from it, giving some gentle illumination.

“Plan? Um... I-I guess I don’t really have one?” The princess returned with a helpless shrug. Coming to the edge of the bowl, she peered out over it, to make sure she was aware of her heading-- but making sure that the side over where Reimu was stayed nice and fastened. “I just saw my opportunity, and I had to take it... N-Not that I’ve been thinking about this! I mean, not a lot. Only a couple of times.”

“Yeaoch!”

Reimu felt dizzy for a short bit, and within a few seconds, lost her footing.  When she came to, she was in the bowl with Shinmyoumaru, not realizing the height difference when she was getting just about ready to clobber her.  It was the inchling’s request that got her to stop and think.

“Wait– this won’t last forever will it?!”  She asked frantically.

The inchling princess gave a relieved sigh when Reimu opted not to immediately act on that hair-trigger temper. None of it would’ve made her change her back right away, or course, but not getting pummeled for it was a bonus.

“Wha--?! N-No, no! This isn’t permanent, or anything!” Shinmyoumaru squeaked out in reply, before stopping to ponder a moment. “I-- I mean... I guess it actually kind of is, since I just wished you small like me, so you’d be this way forever if I didn’t wish you back...”

“Wha?  Where?!”  Reimu looks to the wall, trying to locate it and release it back into the wild.  It took her a solid minute to realize she was being pranked.

“Hey-!”

Before Reimu could turn around, Shin was poised behind her, mallet raised high over her head.

“Eiiiiii~!”

The unmistakable impact of hammer upon noggin would ring down the miko’s spine, filling her vision with spots and stars, the world seeming to be leaving her by the second... Actually, the world wasn’t going anywhere, it was stretching further in her vision; becoming...larger?

On that note, Reimu would feel her backside impact with a soft and fluffy ground; kind of lacy, even. And sitting there in front of her was Shinmyoumaru, at the usual high difference between them when Shin made herself grow...but she hadn’t done that in this case.

(redandwhitereimu) “Whenever you’re ready, really.” Reimu felt kind of guilty for spending a fair bit of the year sulking inside her shrine without a word, so she felt desperate to make it up.

“‘Whenever’, huh?”

Shin folded one arm over her chest and rested her other elbow against it, finger tapping at her chin as she delved into some unknown train of thought. She seemed to be almost contemplating something...
