King Dragan of House Aracelis, 54th Ruler of Anoria and Warden of the Shadow Lands.
โคณ The current monarch of the Fourth Kingdom, well loved by his people for his fairness and justice. He keeps a watchful eye on the Shadow Lands, a Gods-cursed land cloaked in darkness in which all nature dies and unlawful beings roam the earth.
The late Queen Mierel of House Daneyell, wife of King Dragan and mother of three sons by him.
โคณ She was found dead under unknown circumstances at the foot of the stairs of the Palace, her youngest son laying vigil over her body, five years old at the time.
Prince Nerian of House Aracelis, firstborn son of King Dragan and heir to the throne.
โคณ A clever and exceptionally corteous man, Prince Nerian is every bit like his father. Quick with a sword and even swifter with a quill, he remains well loved by the people and will prove to be a great monarch for his kingdom.
Prince Arcan of House Aracelis, secondborn son of King Dragan.
โคณ Often overlooked in favour of his older brother Nerian, and hidden in the shadows of his younger brother Killian, Prince Arcan broodes and seethes. While his place in the family seems unclear, his role for his kingdom is even murkier. King Dragan ignores his tantrums, which both irates and incites him. Prince Nerian's efforts in helping his brother and steer him in the correct direction have yet to prove fruitful.
Prince Killian of House Aracelis, thirdborn son of King Dragan.
โคณ While his mother's untimely death remains a mystery, many in the kingdom widely believe prince Killian to be the culprit. This earned him the nickname of Cursed Prince, amongst many unpleasant others.
King Dragan never officially condemned his son, though it is believable to think he might be of the same mind. After the late queen's death, the King almost completely isolated his son. He assigned the entire left wing of the Palace to his son, forbid him from participating in royal events and interacting with the staff, save for a few people selected by the King himself, and posted a wide part of his royal Kingsguards to the protection of the prince.
Whether they were assigned to protect the prince from harm or the palacefolks from himself, that remains unclear.
The prince is rarely seen inside the Palace, while the last time the people of Anoria saw him was a few months before Queen Mierel's death.
Lord Gwynne Travica, lord of Eastfend, a small town in the north of Anoria.
โคณ He became lord of Eastfend after the passing of his father, since then he efficiently manages his estate and lands.
He and his family were recently summoned to court by the King, but the purpose of his summons remains to be seen.
Lady Charissa Renee, wife of Lord Gwynne Travica.
โคณ She comes from an ancient line of necromancers, supernatural beings capable of commanding death and bringing people back from the realm of the dead, if trained properly.
Their line was almost completely wiped out in the previous centuries, for the people believed them to be the cause behind the Shadow Lands and its threatening, slow expansion. She and her daughter are the last living necromancers, therefore their identities must at all times and cost remain hidden.
Lady Lyra Travica, only daughter of Lord and Lady Travica.
โคณ A quick witted, clever and determined young woman with a complicated upbringing. Trained from a very young age in the art of necromancy by her own mother, her main goal is to ensure the survival and prosperity of her line. She claims to be ready to do whatever it takes.
