My Mom is such a hard worker. A single Mom after my Dad passed away 12 years ago. She is working her butt off to renew her nursing license after it expired years back. And while she is finishing up the schooling to get back her license so she can go back to work as a nurse, it’s been really though and stressful financially on her. And let me tell you something about my Momma. She doesn’t ever like asking for help, she always puts others first and wants to do everything she can to help them. She would probably be upset at me for posting this because she doesn’t ever like asking for help, but here we are, I would do anything to help my Momma. It stresses me out to see that happening, I’m putting my PayPal because she doesnt have one and then giving to her. Anything is higly appreciated.

I’m posting my obligatory “nurse-in-mask” picture and taking this chance to remind you why quarantine is important. Self-isolation and social distancing is hard on everyone, no one is exempt from that. In particular, every night I’m seeing how hard it is on my patients. These people who have no immune system to speak of are working through their cancer diagnosis alone because the hospital currently cannot allow any visitors. The next time you think what you’re doing to help flatten the curve doesn’t matter, remember this: you’re staying home so I can stay healthy enough to continue to come to work and provide them with extensive medical care (as well as a good laugh because let’s face it, I’m hilarious). And most importantly, you’re staying home so their family members can stay healthy enough for them to be able to go home to. Quarantine SUCKS. But thank you for doing it, because what you are doing MATTERS. And it’s truly benefitting some of my most favorite people in the world.

I dont have a lot right now because I am working less hours because I'm on light duty after I broke my shoulder & had surgery and my parents are off work without pay so I'm helping them out as well, but I will donate a little bit because I see all your posts about your struggles and I'm blessed to still be working.
