The show really should come full circle and have Carmy take business and math classes at DeVry.
If Tina can go to culinary school, Carmy ain’t too old to pick up some new skills, either!
Carmy being able to do math would absolutely floor Syd.
She might even say yes to a date.
I'm probably going to say something very unpopular, but in their quest to be funny, the show made Carmy bad at math and completely ignored the fact that he's a recognized CDC “the most excellent CDC at the most excellent restaurant in the United States of America.” One of his many responsibilities includes administrative tasks like food inventory, ordering supplies, and managing food costs.
I always thought Carmy’s problems with math in the present were due to anxiety, stress, or even depression after losing his brother. I’ve seen it before in therapy (people struggling with basic skills, mental fog, etc.) So that shit stopped being funny to me after season 2.
I feel vindicated 😭😭😭
Favorite Otps/Pairings: Carmy Berzatto & Sydney Adamu (The Bear) “You could do this without me. I couldn't do it without you. Yeah, you could. I wouldn't even wanna to do it without you. You know, you... You make me better at this. You make me better at this."
I’m sorry. I should’ve known that you were one person who always stays.

#Still The Craziest Soulmate Shit I've Ever Witnessed BTW
The one thing i'm still debating... this clip really makes it seems like they're retconing what Carmy served Syd. Like they're really pushing scallop here
i feel like it's gonna stay one of those mysteries... Continuity error or something else?
I have so many theories:
First, I thought: could this be a different timeline, hence the film and soundtrack style change? There are crumbs all over the place, like Sophie now being a brown-eyed baby (remember the casting call?). Apparently Jimmy wants to date Donna? I thought he was married? Computer has a heart now and wants the Bear to survive? The Coca-Cola short ribs were inspired by something Syd’s mom used to make for her, I thought Syd had a dream and got inspired? No mention of Claire whatsoever. The hamachi is now a scallop, and Syd is still saying she ate it a few years ago. What if, in this timeline, Nat knew before Syd and Richie that Carmy was quitting, and that’s why the board said “Carm call Stevie” early that morning, and Carm refused to take that call because he was having doubts about quitting and thought it was about the internship? I have to rewatch the whole thing to make more sense of all of this.
Then I thought maybe a different timeline is too extreme. Are they trying to make it look like the now “scallop” Carmy made at Empire inspired the scallop Syd made and got them the two stars? That would make the parallel/connection even more beautiful.
And my last theory is that Syd kept the lie going and said it was a grapefruit scallop, which is close enough to hamachi with blood orange and also a direct parallel to “System” and her lying about the beef being his dad’s favorite spot, which was obvious enough to make Carm pause and kill me with that look.
Syd gets the three-star call.
well yes!
He said the food overall was truly exceptional. And creative. He said the talent here is undeniable. That there's a scallop dish he hasn't been able to stop thinking about and the hospitality was beautiful. He said the room felt alive without being precious or try-hard.

theory
I'm freaking out because I love this concept too much and I don't want to jinx it 😭😭😭
It's not a The Pitt-style season, it's a Groundhog Day season.
In the movie, there was a blizzard, in The Bear we have a storm.
The very first teaser included a clock going backwards.
The trailer has multiple scenes that include the rewind effect, and it made me go, 'Wait a second'.
Minute 0:07
Minute 0:22
Minute 1:07
But it's the multiple teasers that keep popping up after the trailer that are making me wonder whether it's really happening. I know Storer has used scenes that never made it into the actual show before (it happened in S4). But something is definitely up with these teasers, they include the 'same' scenes with little variations:
Tina at the Beef window
Richie talking to Cicero
Tina and Syd in the walk-in scenes
Richie speaking to Jess before going back to FOH
The big motivational speeches
Also, Richie's accident at the end of 'Gary' would fit perfectly in a loop.
And then there's Carmy:
When Richie says, 'We have each other', Syd looks at Richie and smiles, Carmy looks at Syd. He's not pissed, but he does look serious.
He tells Syd, 'Whatever you need, I'm here'.
Syd says, 'The restaurant is flooding, but we're here, together'. He says, 'I like that. I like that positivity.'
'I look at you all, and I love you so much'.
He is finally trying to show up for the bear, for Syd, which is a big thing Phil does for Rita and the people in town in the movie.
I hate the idea of everything happening in one day, but if it's a loop.. COUNT ME IN. So many things can happen. What do you think?
