    It seemed almost cruel to make him keep waiting, since she’d been teasing him one way or another all day. But there were few things more fun than frustrating him. “Hmmm,” she looked up at him and tilted her head to the side, grinning. “I’m not sure if you’ve quite earned the right to unwrap your next gift.”

      He let out a bark of laughter, his eyes darkened by her tone. As much as he did want to see what was underneath, he couldn’t deny that the dirty banter was fun. “Earned it? It’s my bloody birthday, Lily! I shouldn’t have to earn anything.”

    “Oh, well, see I would love to. But once I have you all to myself, I don’t really feel like sharing you.” It may have been his birthday, but that did not mean by any means that Lily was going to lay off the teasing. She slipped a hand into his back pocket and gave his arse a squeeze. “You have to give Sirius at least five minutes of your attention or else he’ll come looking for you. And wouldn’t that be a shame!”

     “I’ve been here at least fifteen minutes! That’s three times the required amount.” He loved his best friend, but he was also had gotten a glimpse at what Lily was wearing under her clothes and it was hard to stop thinking about.
