blinding sickness — pain grips their mind, their eyes turn milky white. for seven days, they have trouble sensing or noticing things, and are blinded.
charm person — regards their charmer as a friendly acquaintance, trusts them, and considers their protection a priority, even if it means attacking friends in order to do so.
divine word — blinded, or blinded and deafened, or blinded, defeaned, and in a stupor, unable to react or act properly for up to an hour.
fear — believes they are seeing their worst fear before them.
feeblemind — for thirty days, or until they are cured from it, their intellect and ability to think falls to the level of barely functional. while they can still recognise, follow, or protect their friends, they become unable to understand language, communicate intelligently, talk, or cast magic.
filth fever — a raging fever goes through their body, turning their muscles weak for seven days.
flesh to stone — over the next minute, they start to turn into stone.
geas — has to obey the commands given to them by the caster, or suffer internal damage trying to resist it.
hideous laughter — falls to the floor, unable to stop laughing at everything for a minute.
hypnotic pattern — sees an illusion of a spinning spiral before them, and is unable to do anything but stare at it, unable to move.
imprisonment — they are chained down / trapped in a gem / in a coma-like sleep until the other is able to complete a certain action defined by the person who trapped them.
mind fever — becomes feverish, and has trouble thinking, finding themselves acting confused and in an irrational manner when under duress.
modify memory — the recollection of an event no longer than 10 minutes is altered, removed, sharpened, or a new memory is planted altogether. any gaps in the description, they fill in the blanks for themselves. unless a restoration or a curse removal is done to them, the alteration is permanent.
seizure — can not stop shaking.
slimy doom — bleeding uncontrollably.
suggestion — has been given a course of activity, one or two sentences long but not harmful to themselves, and will spend the following eight hours trying to complete that activity to their best ability.
zone of truth — unable to intentionally lie, but knows they’re under the effect of the spell and can avoid giving an answer.
