The thing that hurts the most is that I know Jasonâs going to forgive him.
Everybody pins Jason Todd/Red Hood as the âBad Boyâ in the Batfamily. Itâs such a wrong title for him I canât stand the association.
AÂ âBad Boyâ doesnât forgive his father when he thought heâd replaced him. AÂ âBad Boyâ doesnât take others under his wing to keep them safe when everyone else has turned their backs on them. AÂ âBad Boyâ doesnât show unyielding loyalty to those who are ashamed to call him family. AÂ âBad Boyâ doesnât sit and have breakfast with his little brother out in the open, keeping up small-talk. AÂ âBad Boyâ doesnât bleed forgiveness, love, and pain the way Jason Todd does.
Jason Todd is by far the most emotionally vulnerable of his brothers. He longs for acceptance, love, family. All he wants is to be welcomedâto feel cared for by the ones he loves the most.
And if that means he has to forgive them for whatever shit they pull on him, heâll do it. Every. Single. Time, unfailingly.
Because he wants his family. He wants Alfred, Bruce, Dick, Tim, Damian, Cass, and Duke.
Jason Todd is one of the most compassionate, loving, kind people in DC. Yeah he kills, but he dos that for the betterment of others. If he kills a rapist, thatâs one little boy/girl that wonât get raped. If he kills a murderer thatâs someoneâs kid that wonât die.
This issue broke my heart. All the hope I had for Bruce making up with Jason completely shattered.
