The revelation stunned Messmer long enough to lose track of the booping duo. Many questions arose in his mind but not wanting to let them get far, Messmer begins his pursuit and allows his serpentine companions to lead the hunt as they could investigate places Messmer could not so easily reach.

Following clues left behind by the little omens, Messmer would periodically stop to allow either Phobos or Deimos to wriggle about tight spaces. It is Deimos that discovers one of them first, flicking its tongue out before taking this opportunity to avenge previous boops with one of its own as it lightly bumps against the little omen with its snout.

"Not really... But if thou insist upon it, we could celebrate on our own terms."

There was a slight mischievous gleam in Messmer's eye, a rare sight indeed but perhaps the plan brewing in his head was assisted by his earlier drinking and a desire to have an experience unfettered by the derision he knew some nobility harbored for him.
