Can We Talk? || Bianca

Bianca was surprised feeling herself hug Imogen back, especially after she had just spilled the way she did. Clearly it was a day of new things, being more open emotionally and physically. Even so, it sort of hurt being able to hold her but knowing it wasn’t in the ways she wished she could. She’d get over it, though. She had to because of the decision she had made. “You know I love you, Im.” She whispered as she held on to her best friend, doing her best not to completely break down. It was interesting to her how things in her life seemed to work out. Everything good that could happen to her happened at the wrong time. She hoped things would begin to look up for her soon, though she knew it was probably useless to hope for something like that when every romantic situation in her life failed. Everything with Drew was screwed, Jake hated her, there were so many other factors with Imogen. She wasn’t meant to be happy. She released herself from the hug, leaning backwards and wiping a small tear away before forcing a smile. “You’re going to be so happy, you know. And you deserve that more than anything. You should go out and ask her to prom.” She said that despite the plans they had made before, giving Imogen the opportunity to go with Fiona instead. It would be better for her to do that. Celebrate her last hurrah of high school without someone who wasn’t even graduating to bring her down. She reached out and squeezed Imogen’s hand, showing her approval. “Maybe, eventually I’ll learn to deal with you two being whatever. I could hang out with the two of you.” More than anything she wanted to make a good effort and show that she could deal. Now that Imogen knew about the source of the jealously, there was no reason to hide it. 

A small smile appeared on Imogen's lips when she heard Bianca say she loved her. "I love you too," she replied quietly with a few nods. She noticed Bianca wipe away a tear and she looked down, knowing that Bianca probably didn't like people to see her cry. She smiled again at Bianca's next statement and she let a sigh escape her. "You think so..?" She replied and tossed the idea around in her mind. She was hoping to get asked to prom herself but if she didn't go for what she wanted then how was she supposed to get it? She really did wish the same could apply to Bianca but she wasn't sure she could sacrifice her friendship with Jake for the possibility that Bianca could feel the same way about her. It certainly seemed like she did but she knew that if they were supposed to happen then eventually events would unfold and they would be able to be together. She perked up a little at Bianca's suggestion that maybe one day she'd be okay enough to hang out with the pair. "That'd be awesome Bee," she replied excitedly and did her best to calm herself down. "If not though don't feel bad," she added, not wanting to add any pressure to Bianca that she didn't need. She laced her fingers through Bianca's with the hand Bianca's was already holding and she gave it another small squeeze. "Thank you for talking this out with me," she said and her brown eyes wandered up to meet Bianca's equally chocolaty hues.

Bianca noticed Imogen’s eyes becoming watery and she almost reached out to hug her but decided against it. She was aware the situation was less than ideal. Imogen was Jake’s best friend and had shit going on with Fiona so it probably wasn’t the best time for Bianca to even get into it. It wouldn’t be right for her to just come in and fuck everything up, despite it being what she did best. She knew what she had to do, despite her feelings. It was better for Imogen to go on with everything she already had going on instead of being disrupted because of feelings Bianca wasn’t even sure of. “You’re not going to lose me, Im. We can just go on like nothing is happening.” The words were difficult for Bianca to say, but she knew it was now or never. “You already get enough shit being my best friend. Anything more… you know how hard it would be. We both do. And you already have a chance at happiness, I saw your eyes when you talked about her.” It took everything in her not to just get up and grab a drink at that moment, but she had to get it all out. “Im, you can date Fiona and be happy. I think that’s how it’s supposed to be.” She closed her eyes for a few moments, her mind racing to make sure she had touched all of the bases she needed to. It was time for her to be less selfish, it was what she had to do.

Imogen wrapped her fingers around Bianca's hand. Even after Bianca said she wasn't going to lose her she still felt like she might so she wanted to keep at least a little bit of physical contact. She listened intently to what she was saying and as hard as it was to hear it she knew it was true. There was no way in hell she could hurt Jake like that, especially so soon after he and Bianca had ended things. She also had no desire to hurt Fiona in any way and she truly did like her and have feelings for her. When Bianca was finished Imogen glanced away from her and gave a few small nods before she pushed herself up on her knees and leaned forward, wrapping her arms around Bianca's neck. She didn't know if the action was welcome or not but she couldn't help it. "And you have trouble understanding why I think you're so awesome.." She said in disbelief and let a small laugh escape her lips. She pulled back from the embrace so she wouldn't make Bianca completely uncomfortable. She still couldn't believe that Bianca actually possibly felt the same way that she did and she didn't plan on forgetting about it but she would suppress it, something she figured would be a lot easier now that it was finally out in the open. "I'm not ruling anything out," she said, referring more to the future. It might not ever be 'their time' but if it ever did come up and was actually appropriate timing she knew she wouldn't hesitate.
