“No. I mean like actual education for animals that wear clothes…Miss Langtree is a bit of a nut.” 

She watched him as he began to ramble, her brow furrowed a bit. “Well, if want my opinion, I’ve heard that jumping over a wall and nearly getting hit by a train can do the trick.”

“Huh. I’m kind of glad my sister’s not with me right now, she’d probably try to sign her pet pig up for classes.”

“No, I’m pretty sure I didn’t jump over a wall or get hit by a train. I…might have hit my head when I was running away from some wolf monster though? Does that count?” Actually, Dipper couldn’t remember what happened after that. Had the monster eaten him? Was he dead!?

“Well, now they all play music. And they learn numbers and stuff, but they’re all pretty talented musicians.”

“ It’s not just a bit of water when you’re wearing multiple layers. ” Ford grumbled, putting his glasses back on. He was planing his revenge– she would not stay dry  for long. He extended his arm out towards Beatrice, hopefully no sign of malice  on his face. 

“ Can you help me up, at the very least? ” He asked. If she grabbed his hand to pull him up, he’d turn the tables, and try to pull her into the water.

“Oh, you’ll be fine. It’s sunny out. You’ll dry in no time.” She smirked a bit. However, at his question, she quirked her brow. “You think I’m going to fall for that? I have brothers and sisters. I know every trick in the book.” She laughed.

“Yeah. I mean, it makes you different. Different is good.” Beatrice replied kindly, offering a small smile. “Well, I tease people all the time, but it’s always about stupid stuff. This isn’t stupid. It’s interesting. Unique.” 

Ford glanced down at his hands. After being teased so much about his six fingers, anyone who complemented him on it was on his good side. And he agreed with her. Different was good! 

“ Oh, thank you… Uh, I never got your name. ”

“Beatrice. Beatrice Linette.” She smiled brightly before offering her hand for him to shake.

“Then I wouldn’t recommend the school for animals.” Beatrice added, nodding a bit. 

“Well, pretty recently there were a pair of brothers that got lost. They weren’t from around here either…but they dressed differently. I think the oldest said it was a costume or something…” Beatrice shrugged her shoulders. “I don’t know. I’ve kinda been wrapped up in my own issues to notice if anything has changed…” 

“A school for animals? You mean like one of those places that train service dogs?” Dipper questioned. That didn’t sound weird…

“A costume? Well, Summerween was just a little while ago. Maybe they were from Gravity Falls too, but if that’s true why are people ending up here? Could it be the portal? But I though Ford destroyed it…” He was talking more to himself than the girl now. “Whatever’s going on here can’t be good.”

“No. A giant pumpkin head on top of some sort of decorative appendages will make you…trust me, a lot scarier than I make it sound.”

“Giant pumpkin head?” She had to be on something, not that Stan was quick to assume but that just sounded… weird. “Are you okay, kid?”

“Oh, I’m just fine. I’m just trying to warn you, buddy. Whether you take my advice or not is completely up to you.”

“…Never heard of it…Geez, what’s with everyone popping up all of a sudden?” She rolled her eyes a bit. 

“Well, everyone there is a reanimated skeleton in a costume made out of pumpkins.” 

“Pumpkins? That’s weird, even for me.” Still, he made a mental note to stay far away from that place.

“Wait, what do you mean by ‘everyone popping up’? I’m not the only one? Then there must be some reason behind this, right?”

“Then I wouldn’t recommend the school for animals.” Beatrice added, nodding a bit.
