5. Pokemon Hereos

-This is like comfort film of all time to me and the start of my long standing love of tragedy. Watched this all the time as a kid and wore the CD out (ya im that old)

4. Hush

-Mike flanagan my beloved. I remember watching this on my cousins couch while I was doing a really shitty job at being a babysitter and going "wow this movie is good" and being disappointed I couldn't find another film available to watch by him. He does an amazing job at setting atmosphere and writing compelling characters.

3. The way he looks (Or the original Portuguese title Hoje Eu Quero Voltar Sozinho)

-My first representation into queer media where someone didn't tragically die. You weren't living if you weren't on tumblr when the OG short film came out. The bicycle ride at the end still lives rent free in my head.

2. Inside

-This came out in a very tumultuous time of my life and I related heavy on the overarching narrative of what do you do when you've spent your entire life performing for people so they can clap for you and suddenly you can't perform anymore. I heard "all eyes on me" and I was immediately transported to when I had to do piano lessons and juries through a fucking zoom call.
