my favorite part of the root and shaw fandom is that i don’t have to defend it. there’s no straight fandom pairing that i’m aware of aggressively stating their ship is endgame and decrying the implausibility of a canon f/f ship. (if there is they’re not vocal enough for me to know) and it’s just beautifully and wonderfully refreshing when it comes to being lesbian and f/f shipper.

I get defensiveness over your fave but I also understand that dragging other characters through the mud in order to excuse a character’s actions is just being childish. Lexa is morally grey and makes questionable decisions the same way Clarke did. End of story. It’s a lot easier to admit that your fave doesn’t always have what’s best in mind and isn’t always right.

Layne Morgan, a writer at IGN and a casual fan, who has repeatedly made it clear she does not really like Bellamy Blake along with many of the boys on the show, mostly anyone who ships Bellarke due to “ignoring representation”, or anyone that does not prefer the other side of that spectrum, has joined the 100 crew as a writing PA. I don’t think that a writer’s PA does anything more than acting as kind of a secretary to the writer’s room, but I’m pretty upset that she’s going to be anywhere near those scripts with her influence. Don’t mess this show up or ruin my favorite character again for the sake of representation, please *sigh*

You are correct in thinking that she is essentially doing a lot of grunt work for the writers, but you are upset that she’s going to magically brainwash the writers into turning the show into a lesbian orgy. You would rather have the same narrative and same heterosexual relationships that you can find in most other forms of media, instead of having representation.
