This song is one of my favorites. I relate so much to it that it hurts. Finale is about struggling to meet expectations. Giving it your all and then others want more.

I’m tired too. But I have to keep going. I don’t know if I can keep on going at the pace that I used before.

It’s funny how we don’t recall much of our early memories. And how we got to where we are today. Most of it is just a blur.

I often feel that I’m trying so hard to prove myself and I don’t know if I have. While AJR is talking about their success with music, I’m talking about my path forward. Will I ever be enough for the people that count? I don’t know.

Those last lyrics correspond with something deep inside me. I’m scared of the future and I don’t know what’s going to happen. Am I going to burn out? Am I going to lose myself? Is everything suddenly going to halt to a stop?
