It's currently 3am, and I'm sure, to anyone else, my rant here is going to be silly and meaningless, but I want to say it anyway.
I really am grateful for all of the interactions! From reposts, to tags, to asks and to comments. I don't know if it's the 3am delirium, or nostalgia speaking, but all of this feels very nice. Let me explain; I don't have tumblr on my phone. I am realizing that I don't want to have it. Doing so forces me to go to my computer to check on you guys. I found that... I actually prefer this.
I have a larger following on instagram. I used to be big into numbers. If my post only got 30k likes, it was a flop. It ruined my whole week. Everyday I'd have my phone in hand, checking stats. bleh.
And when I post here, I don't actually care about the numbers I get. I am just letting my smilk art drift into the world, letting anyone who cares take a cheeky little gander at it. And I'm at peace with that. I think it also has something to do with the warm welcome. Like, the second thing I posted was me basically proclaiming I see PV as a masked sex pest! No-one cared, and people even agreed! I have that tag screenshotted, it makes me feel welcomed. (and ofc the fact that I don't check my phone every 2 seconds to see who 'liked' my post.)
Idk, I just want to say that your words mean a lot. I am a person who gets spurred on with compliments and people engaging with my work, and the reception I got here makes me want to work tenfold to show my appreciation.
