first & last face of nu(nu)who btw
Bye! Oh hello!
what is the truth
Oh all the lost possibilities.
The Tentoo spinoff with Rose that never happened. The Xmas Special that will now never happen. Billie returning to Tardis for absolutely nothing after all these years. Where do we go now, Doctor? I've been a fan of Star Wars until Disney bought it. I was a fan of LOTR until Peter Jackson overdid it. I was a fan of Good Omens until I learned what a scumbag Neil Gaiman is. Doctor Who has been one of the longest fandoms I've been tangled with: sometimes more, sometimes less. Now it feels end of an era indeed. RTD brought it alive in 2005 and now 20 years later he killed it. The magic of older seasons will always stay - of course - but there is nothing to expect now. The door has been shut for everything these past years were.
Hardest part is always letting go.
what the heck is wrong with Russell T. Davies.
came back and was hyped by everyone and then wrote crap episodes
completely screwed over Ncuti Gatwa
brought back Billie Piper, an interesting choice considering he doesn’t and probably never knew where the show was going and obviously had little to no plans at all for when she was actually back to justify it
confirmed a Christmas special everyone was waiting and watching for and then cancelled it without ever even bothering to try actually writing a script
only ever confirmed a Christmas special in the first place to let fans know there would be more Doctor Who coming despite it “going on tender” and probably wouldn’t be back for years, giving fans false hope (“welcome back wilderness era,” we all say completely dejected and monotone because WHO THE HELL WANTS THE WILDERNESS ERA BACK)
leaves the show in an even bigger mess than how he found it.
I’m so glad this guy is gone get a new showrunner and give me my comfort show back as soon as physically possible, with all due respect I’m not waiting 16 years for new content (I love, respect and salute the whovians who waited through the original wilderness era but lets be real no one wants to do that again)
Not gonna lie, future Doctor Who might be interesting and whole new show, BUT... We got baited. We got Billie back in Tardis for nothing. We got Billie and David back doing cons together and PR for... nothing. Thanks a lot, RTD, for another heartbreak.

Today we’re announcing an update on plans for the future of Doctor Who.
Welp, it's official, the Wilderness Years are back! 😭😭😭 RTD IS GONE!
No. Oh my god. I was looking forward the Christmas episode.
Now, second point: people fearing Monica's death is a sort of tool to give Tony some redemption
(First discussion, about Monica and Tony's relationship, is here)
This is I think the worst take of them all. And something I kept encountering... so let's address it!
The writers are actually trying to accomplish the complete opposite
Monica represent's Tony's only tether to any kind of morality. She reigns him in, she keeps him in check. Without Monica Tony is even more of a monster. Removing her hurts him, yes, but this pain is no path to redemption, it's a path to more violence, more lashing out, more evil.
He will gets way worse.
In a way he's even more powerful without her because there's no limits now. She was also keeping him grounded so now he's going to be unhinged without her... because his sanity also took refuge in that stable home life with Monica.
Removing Monica allows for Tony to completely gets off the charts with the evilness - it also probably allows for a tallest fall at the end too. Which we will all applaud by then I'm sure.
I'm not saying that this couldn't have been done without killing her. It would be close enough if she left and divorced him I think? Although, thinking about it, I wonder if they are going to use the guilt of it (being responsible for her death) to fuel even more nastiness? Tony is the sort of shit guy who would definitely lash out around him instead of directing the violence inward if he was to feel very guilty about something. We'll see.
This. Monica's death actually gets Tony off the hook. She was done with him. Done protecting him. The divorce would've spilled all the tea and ruin him and ruin Corinium. Now he can act with the sympathy of the locals as his cloak. And he is also free to chase Maud.
They smashed. You can't get me to believe anything else...

Please enjoy this minor nsfw revision
The Doctor knows what Rose will be getting tonight. Tho Donna's DNA might bring kinky twists, who knows. 👠
Billie and Her Younger Years, Exploitation and Encouragement | Parkinson
Twenty years ago, in March 2005, Billie Piper appeared as a guest in Parkinson to talk about her role in the new Doctor Who, but what makes this one a bit more special is the fact that the other guest was Jamie Oliver, whose outfit inspired David’s Doctor Who costume.
So while David was obviously tuning in for Billie and Doctor Who…
He was also imagining his future look next to Billie.

"It's not the last kiss of the series," Tennant teased.
Rivals - S2- Trailer 2
Suddenly November feels too far away. But I have summer to enjoy! Also if David gets an Emmy nomination for Tony, I'm not surprised. Disney finally got him right. He is not a caricature of a villain, but a complex, adult man with a violent streak, needs and desires. He is real. Seems that the running thread of Season 2 is *suppressing.*. People suppressing their feelings, hopes, their sexuality. Even Tony is. I wonder will he truly fall in love with Maud.

"She has marvellous set of lips on her, she's got a great pout and it's all her own work."
The 34-year-old Scottish actor was full of praise for Miss Piper, 22, who plays the Doctor's sidekick Rose Tyler. 'I didn't know her before, but I've been admiring her in the show,' he said.
