I Love Smartwatches

Apple is planning multiple versions of its smartwatch, likely to be launched in the fall, as the company tries to counter wearable devices from rivals.

The patent has been granted for Apple's own smartwatch, critics are predicting it release in 6 months.

Smartwatches currently have the capability to check you heart rate therefore being able to monitor the calories you burn. As smartwatches become more accepted and readily available like mobile phones or smart phones everyone could be wearing a smartwatch with the technology that could give you health stats and remind you daily or weekly if you're low on vitamins and minerals. With the endless possibilities this could be a major breakthrough for the world health organisation not only in the developed world but more importantly in third world countries. Having the ability to be able to give yourself a constant health check could stop outbreaks of disease.
