When I was thinking about their dynamic and how beautiful it is and how they know each other so good, well. Their dynamic probably wouldn't exist if he wasnt her apprentice right. And he wouldn't be her apprentice if they didn't meet. And why did they meet? He was in the Young Army, she was the eow. So if Septimus wasn't stolen when he was born, and stayed with the Heaps, he would not meet her, in that way anyway. I mean, sure they would cross ways sometime but he would be a different person. With parents. Siblings. Name. And, if the assassination wouldn't happen, then Marcia wouldn't be the eow right away. Alther didn't have any plans to retire when Jenna was born and everyone was surprised that Marcia was the eow right after her graduation, so that confirmes it. So, we already have a different Marcia. Happier one. With Alther. And with zero eow responsibilities at the start.

They would be different human beings. And Alther would eventually retire and he would choose Marcia and she would be the eow. And maybe Septimus could still be her apprentice, but he would be a little older I imagine since Marcia wouldn't rush with these apprentice stuff. But he would have a family already and she would have Alther so they wouldn't be that close. But it would be a very slim chance that a Heap would be her apprentice anyway. Not because he is a Heap but cuz she wouldn't even have the chance to properly be around him or get to know him cuz, yk, Silas and her get along SO well. So she would have a different apprentice. Boom, no Septimus and Marcia found family.

And, if we think about the very reason all of this bad stuff happened to everyone. It is DomDaniel. He was the one who hired the assassin for Cherys and eventually Alther. He was the one who wanted to have the seventh son of the seventh son for apprentice. He was the one who sent ANOTHER assassin for Jenna, which forced Marcia to take action, she found Sep in the snow, they hid at Zelda's.

And it makes me so fucking mad.

I adore their friendship, my pookies, and I would do anything to see them happy, but, at the same time, I wouldn't want to. Cuz if nothing bad happened in their lives, they wouldn't find each other. And I can't bear that, it's so sad.

So, the person who caused the most shit in the whole books and deserves to be brutally murdered by Marcia, is, in fact, the reason we got them. By each other's side.

When Marcia went to Terry Tarsal and later discovered Marcellus's presence in this Time, she mentioned that she'll have her birthday next week. Then all of this shit with Gathering and Queste happens, and if I remember correctly, before the disaster trio reached the House of Foryx, three or four days passed. Plus, we don't know how long they were in the House since we don't know how long Marcia and Sarah took to come there, a day I imagine?

Was Marcia's birthday here somewhere? Or later? If later, I think that they were on the Islands of Syren for a week? Also, Septimus was one day back in the Castle and then went back, where they slept on Milo's ship one night. And between all of this, she surely had her birthday.

So, what? How did she spend it? Running around, worrying about everything Simon told her about Tertius Fume and the Islands of Syren? Or even later, on the day she almost got her throat sliced open?

I do, in fact, love Harry Potter and Percy Jackson but Septimus Heap is SO MUCH better.
