Baby girl…. Where do I begin? You were always a true friend to me… we would go on walks together. We would talk about dumb shit. I remember walking to winndixie on 72nd street and always coming home with sour life savor gummies. And we would eat that whole bag on the way back lmfao and be mad once we got to the crib that we ain’t have nothing to munch on. We made a song called “my mangos” when Eminem came out with my salsa. We would do dance routines in my house because the living room was so spacious and my mom let us blast the music… we would double Dutch like no tomorrow… you were quiet tho. Always quiet. But you were such a riot… I remember always getting you confused for zee too. Haha. Your brother was always outside with us… and then one day we just asked about you and asked you to chill and you did.. and that was the start of something amazing.. we fought. Over the mess we made in front of zees crib. And I hit you with a broom stick and you chocked me out that my legs were dangling and I punched you but missed and scratched your face. We started calling it battle wounds and I was in 7th grade and you were in 8th. We went to the same middle school and it was just fucking so much fun to be with you…

You made so much of my childhood. When you came over to watch four brothers with me and we couldn’t stop drooling over the baby brother and we both cried when he died! Or what about the time hurricane Chris came out with the song aye bay bay and we would sing that shit till our fucking lungs were sore.

Or what about when we would race and playing trap to help and your ass would climb the fucking trees and shit knowing dam well we wasn’t able to do that shit. WE NEVER CAUGHT YOU.

Or when you would knock on my door to go to the pool. That was our second home lmfao we would be so dark year round we would sometimes say we were sisters but I always forgot that that meant Tim was my brother and when they would ask I would always say no. Or about the times Jesse would come visit and would be yelling random ass Jamaican words lmfaoooo. With his white boy friend that we all thought was cool … I could go on and on.. or what about the time we were crossing the street from four quarters and I got stuck like a deer in headlights because a car was coming faster than I thought and I thought I could make it and I realized I didn’t have enough time so you yelled my name and I started running..

Or when I got my period and you laughed at me because you had already gotten yours and I felt so weird lmfao

Your mom would come and visit from Jamaica.. and your dad was raising yall.. and he did such a great job.. that now that I’m an adult it’s like shit … I should have been there more for you…. I got so caught up with my life I forgot about everyone else that was a part of it and for that I’m so fucking sorry… I know you’d laugh at me and say, it’s all good and you’d hug me. Make a sarcastic comment and we would be Gucci like if I never strayed……
