Another day, another Illini Football player on a watch list. This time, we have linebacker, Hardy Nickerson, on the watch list for College football’s best defensive player.

Nickerson transferred to Illinois after starting at Cal, and graduating (leaving him a year of immediate eligibility.) He is the son of new Defensive Coordinator, Hardy Nickerson.

Another day, another arrest for the Illini. Luckily, this time it is a former player.

Joseph Bertrand was arrested early Saturday morning for domestic battery. He was released later on his own recognizance, and will return on Monday for a court hearing.

Guessing this isn’t so cut-and-dry as the State’s Attorney will decide, by Monday, whether charges will actually be filed.…
