Oh, he knew that money corrupted even those with pure intentions and good hearts, he’s not blind to that harsh reality but if presented with enough proof, with the right friends to back him up? It’s going to be one hell of a court case that’ll turn a lot of people’s heads. Get enough people to question him? Get enough to be brave enough to speak against the tyrant and even Stark’s money won’t be enough to save him. Not if they weed out the corrupt and throw them behind bars or guarantee their safety.

❝ It’s cute that you think I don’t have friends in high places too. ❞ People he’s saved, people he’s helped; save the right people and they feel like they owe you their lives, which of course is never his intention but it sure comes in handy now and again. ❝ Out of the two of us, which one of us sold and profited off of selling weapons? Who has created sentient weapons that destroyed cities? ❞ While Peter has messed up as Spider-Man on numerous occasions, he has never messed up as bad as Tony has.

But that is besides the point. ❝ I don’t care what it takes, you come after anyone I care about and I will make sure you never see the light of day. You’ll spend the rest of your life behind bars. ❞ He will guarantee it, whatever it takes.

With enough money thrown in their faces, they wouldn’t believe a word anyone said against him. It wasn’t just common sense, it was well known fact. Stark was extremely powerful with thousands of bodies hidden in closets - even those who spoke out against him officially.

If Peter wanted a fight, he would without a doubt get it.

However, the downside was that it would take away from more important matters. His dealings with investors, his profit‘s and more importantly, his own projects would suffer.

Would it be worth it? Maybe.

❝ I have contracts. Business dealings, ❞ he says sharply. ❝ Important matters that require my efforts. You don’t have to agree with them. You don’t have to like them. ❞

How things had gotten to this point, Peter isn’t sure, but he knows one thing for certain; he will arrest Iron Man if he has to, leave him to the cops in a cocoon of webs and a note if he continued to be destructive and reckless. Collateral damage trying to save people is one thing but it seemed like this guy was going to extreme lengths to bring his plans to fruition. The city is already at unease with people like them, he didn’t need Iron Man making it any worse.

Tension ebbed from his body as the light of repulsors dimmed, giving him the false hope of a peaceful surrender until his words were spoken. Save who–? Head shot up towards the sound of explosion, a wave of anger surging within; what psychopath blows something up to avoid surrender? Lenses narrowed at the other, simmering anger prickling beneath skin. ❝ We are not done. ❞ Web grenade was shot at the other to restrain him, before he leapt from his vantage point to swing away and attempt to save the casualties of the explosion.

Stark had several favors he could call in, but he didn’t need any of them. Nor did he believe that it was necessary to do so. He could make Collateral damage himself with a few bombs that were pre-placed around the city, which he had just done.

Reckless? Maybe. He didn’t care at this point, but it did allow time for Stark to formulate his next plan.

Granted, it would have been better if the Web grenade wasn’t there and he could have gotten away easily, that just wasn’t the case.

Stark knew, that the other was coming back, but when was the question. It was to that point, that he opted to wait - at least around three minutes before pushing another button, which would send a signal back to his office that something was wrong. Normally, it just meant that he was going to be a few minutes late, but this time, it meant that he would be very... very late in all reality.

Thankfully, the bombs were more flash and bang than fatal; a good distraction for sure. Perhaps several injuries, but nothing fatal. At least, not in that set of bombs, but the day was young; Stark could change his mind.

So, he waited. He waited and his anger only grew.

“I didn’t mean it that way. I mean, I owe you a lot and I guess I just thought I should do something to help you.” Kara sighed, it wasn’t that she wanted to do it for him, it just seemed easier and if something happened, she wasn’t the one the world needed, he was.

Biting down on her lower lip, “the thing is, who knows that there still not going to come after me. But I get it, if you don’t want me to help you, well then I’m not going to pressure you because hurting you or your feelings was never my intention.”

“And I have it handled,” he practically snapped, before running hands through his hair. It was a moment of rage and yet he knew it couldn’t be avoided completely. It was always there. Always under his skin . . . another reason he wore the suit.

“I’m sorry,” he says, sucking in a deep breath and letting it out slowly. “I really am. I just,” how could he even admit that he didn’t want things to go south and that he needed to do this on his own? Truly, he didn’t know and at this rate . . . he didn’t actually care either. “I don’t want you to get hurt as collateral damage.”

“If you want to help . . . if you really do, it has to be as support from the side lines. Giving me information if I need it. I just don’t want you putting yourself in danger for me. Not if you can avoid it.”

“Hmn, and here I thought you’d be going for a gold and red theme,” word of this Iron Man had quickly reached him–what many called and equal of Norman Osborn. Although, part of him expected the man to be more… heroic looking. The Green Goblin tilts his head, sitting rather casually atop the Goblin Glider, “Now that makes me curious with the whole dark getup, if you are one of those goody-two-shoes, or somebody with a better definition of fun.”

“And I thought you’d be wiser.” Red and gold only worked if you wanted to be flashy and noticed. He tried that once, but it didn’t stick. Why spend so much time working to be noticed when simply a black and gold flash it easier? Far better when working at night as well - blending in was key, but only when he didn’t want to be noticed. “Based upon the glider,” he says, pausing for a moment, head tilting, “---Impressive.” It actually wasn’t. Stark knew he could quite possibly improve upon the designs, but that was neither here nor there. Then again, there were times where small talk (of a sort) became difficult. More so when he was in the suit. Another personality . . . another man and yet the same. Perhaps another time. “Definitions depend on the moment. I just prefer keeping those in tight spandex out of my way. Especially kids dressed up as spiders.”
