🦌 Artemis, goddess of the hunt, chastity and the wild, patroness of women and children.

In the story to come, she is linked to one of the key figures of the past — a girl from the royal family (the very queen who was called a traitor, but who shook the rigid patriarchal order in the country. This art depicts her during that very period); in the present day, she protects her descendant, who is also fighting for the throne, but in a different way.

Her symbols are the deer and the silver bow. During the reign of the ‘traitor queen’, Artemis’s popularity as a goddess grew, and all the cities were filled with her temples. After the male line returned to the throne, this popularity waned somewhat. Although Artemis’s temples remained in most cities, some conservative communities demolished them in their localities.

The figure of Artemis has forever remained a symbol of women’s struggle to finally be heard and treated as equals.
