Perfect Staging

“I’m sure only one of us is cut out to be the cute boyfriend. I think it’s alright leaving that title with you.” He took hold of Ikki’s hands and pulled him towards the door. “They do ice skating around here. I’m not very good at it but it’s somewhere I know a lot of couples go.”

“I think both of us could hold the title.” He happily held his hand, smiling widely. Taking a few extra steps, he wrapped his arms around Yoichi’s. “I had to do it for a video once, but I came out of it with a lot of bruises.”

“Well, it’s not like that’s the look I go for. Mine is more of a ‘boring yet comfortable’.” He cupped his face in his hands, kissing him softly. “Is there anywhere you want to go, love?” he asked quietly.

He laughed once more, welcoming the kiss. Being called such an endearing pet name was incredibly welcomed as well. “You should go for it sometime, you could pull it off well.” He tapped their noses together lightly. “No where really... Just.. out with you.”

Gosh, he was really cute. He had to stop and stare for a moment before turning to find the glasses he mentioned. As he rummaged through his things, he couldn’t help the smile on his face. He found the sunglasses tucked into the drawer. Thin frames, a light tint to the lenses, nothing too special but it would do. He opened the glasses and turned to place them on Ikki’s face before kissing his nose gently. “You’re adorable.”

He fiddled with the glasses, smiling happily about it. This really was very exciting. Where would they go anyway? Who knew really. No matter where though he was excited. He giggled softly, “Thank you... I don’t think this is particularly cute though.”

“Let’s go look then.” Yoichi pulled Ikki toward his room, leaving him at the door to rummage through his clothes. He tossed him a pale blue cadet’s hat, something that he had but really never wore. “You can keep that if you want.” He shoved hangers of clothes out of the way, finding a large white hoodie in the back of his closet. He pulled it out and held it up to Ikki. It was about two sizes too big, but it would work. “I have sunglasses somewhere, too.”

Itsuo looked at at the hat first and then the sweater. It was certainly huge... Nonetheless, he tugged it on, letting the sleeves hang off his hands. He smiled as he wore it. There was something weirdly comfortable about wearing his boyfriend’s clothing.  He flipped parts of hi hair into the hat as he put it on. “That would be great..”

Yoichi swayed with him, humming lightly for a moment. “You know, we can always get you one of my bigger sweaters and a hat. We can pull something together, go somewhere not so crowded. Maybe tonight, even. I’m sure I’ve got some sunglasses somewhere. That is if you’re comfortable with that.”

Ikki looked more like he was thinking about it than he was. Of course he wanted to go out. There was little he rather do right tonight honestly. “Ye.. yeah.. That seems nice.”

He smirked slightly. “Not at all. We could get you one with frills. And a matching bow for your hair.”

He looked up at him and began to sway again. “I mean... It would be a safe way for me to go out....” This is an excuse. He actually wants to wear dresses and cute things.

Yoichi lazily ran his hands through Ikki’s hair. “Well, you could always wear a dress. No one would expect that, really.”

 Itsuo tensed slightly. A dress would be an idea.... Though he found the idea to be embarrassing. “You don’t think that would be strange?”

He pulled Ikki a bit closer. “I’m fine with it just like this. With it being so secretive like this… It’s a bit exciting.”

“I’m glad you’re fine with it... But actually having a date would be fun.” He nuzzled against him. “Maybe some day I’ll get a good disguise for that... “
