Dad Silco! I've had this sketched out for ages, finally finished it!

But Jinx is different. She’s the only child he shows sympathy towards, let alone loves and cares for. It’s not just that he’s a softie on the inside and any kid with wide eyes would pluck at his heart strings. No, he’s still a wicked man who isn’t above bullying children for amusement. It was just Powder. It’s only Jinx. Because he saw himself in her (and probably because he respected her audacity to do what she did)

Idk I just love it. Because it’s not that he’s a normal dad now who’s good with kids. He’s good with one kid. The rest can burn for all he cares, but she became the one thing that truly mattered to him.

So all the ways he’s soft for her, all the “normal dad” things like letting her doodle on his stuff and (presumably) braiding her hair are soooo special to me. He wouldn’t do that for anyone else. But he does it for her. Also because it means she’s not just a weapon or a tool. He didn’t only take her in to groom her to fight for Zaun, although that was part of it. If that were all it were, he wouldn’t see her as a daughter. But he does! She doodles all over his office! He started wearing makeup to make his face more approachable to her

At its core it was a selfish decision, he wasnt ready to lose jinx despite her dying by her own hand. Of course silco didnt know that, but singed said it himself that "sometimes death is a mercy". He was right.

Jinx had wanted to die that night, and the process of keeping her alive was excruciatingly traumatic. (Which is why im shocked it wasnt brought up in season two or at the tea party scene).

Silco's love for jinx was undoubtedly genuine and real, thats his daughter goddammit, but theyre very codependent and traumabonded which does not make for a normal relationship.

Silco keeps jinx alive because hes not ready to lose her, he cant fathom a life without her. He needs her.

She was forced to endure immense pain and trauma against her wishes, as she was literally screaming and crying in pain for it to stop, but unfortunately silco was not ready to let go of her.

He was also unconscious, before he was knocked out his mind wasnt in the right place. I dont think he realised just how demanding of a procedure it would be, all he could think about was making sure jinx stayed alive.
