MOVED TO VITAEI

‘   what? like lurking in dark alleys ? ’    despite the derision in her voice, there’s a mild panic that rises in her. she doesn’t exactly believe him about smelling it ------how could he ? so a part of her still believes he’s seen her deed and wants to use it as some sort of leverage. but nina has never seen this man before, and can’t imagine what he could possibly want from her.     ‘   you smell blood.   ’    it’s deadpan, more of a statement of incredulity than an actual question warranting a response, and she chuckles quietly to herself.   ‘   look, buddy, i don’t know what the fuck you want, but you really shouldn’t piss me off.   ’

         ‘   you should, you know ----plan things out? makes for fewer pesky surprises.   ’    nina hated surprises unless they came in the form of expensive shoes. it was a rare occasion in which she didn’t plan, and those occasions usually filled her with anxiety of a sort. she couldn’t get a read on this guy, however, and that smile made her wary.
