Time and Time Again and Again
Dave made his way to the not so jolly green giantâs mansion, hands in his pocket. He was glad that him and Tomori had made up and that they can spend some time together. He walked over to the entrance that led straight to Tomoriâs part of the mansion, but instead of walking to the actual door, he went over to the balcony that he knew led to her bedroom and began throwing pebbles at the window, before reciting some bad Shakespeare. âBut, soft! what light through yonder window breaks? It is the east, and Tomori is the sun.â
Tomori can hear the distinct click⌠click⌠of pebbles tapping against the glass of her window. Itâs only when she hears the voice of a certain someone who she rented as her slave and who she knows very well reciting some incredibly cliche lines from an incredibly cliche playâlines that only he would think to recite to herâthat she realizes who it is. So in the middle of his speech, she opens the glass door leading from the balcony to her hive, and walks out onto it and into the fresh air, leaning against her elbows, which are against the edge of the precipice. Once he finishes, she decides to play along.
"O Dave, Dave! Wherefore art thou Dave? Deny thy lusus and refuse thy name; or, if thou wilt not, be but sworn my matesprit, and Iâll no longer be a Megido."
The words are recited precisely and dramatically. Just as dramatically as one might expect from the Megido.
"So! Is my âslaveâ here to woo me with an incomplete recitiation of Troll Romeoâs initial lines from Troll Romeo and Julietâs most famous and well-known scene? Or is he here because I paid a pretty caegar to have his sexy ass for the next few weeks?" Of course she would know that he only recited a small portion of Romeoâs initial lines. The play is one of the many things Doc Scratch had drilled into her thinkpan. But regardless, sheâs half joking. And sheâs glad theyâve settled things between themselves⌠Sheâs glad things are just like before.
Well⌠Not exactly like before. But most certainly close enough for her.
"What if I said I'm here cuz I wanted to be? You know I won't do anything I don't wanna, regardless of how much someone wasted on my ass." He grinned up at her. "Are ya gonna let me in or do I have to throw more rocks?" They both knew he could easily parkour up the side of the building and climb onto the balcony himself, but he figured that might not be the best thing to do with who owned the place. . . "
