Sometimes changing your hairstyle is the best way to stand out less, especially if you have the equivalent of your name engraved on your forehead.

It wasn’t that she wasn’t still afraid. What person in their right mind wouldn’t be terrified after being framed for witchcraft and almost beaten to death? If the Northwests had gotten one victory, it was that Cordelia Cipher would fear the cruelty of man for the rest of her life. 

No, she was still afraid.  But being a young heiress and a lady, she dare not show it. Even at such a young age, she faced her fear with a mask of stonefaced courage.

As her footsteps faultered, Cordela reached out and grasped the nearest thing she could find- the arm of a large chair close enough to hold her steady. “Perhaps it’s best I stay inside, Gideon, I-I don’t know if I’m ready.”

Gideon knew of what the Northwest’s had done to Cordelia, (which infuriated the young boy to no end) but had to remain as  calm as possible. He didn’t want to worry the girl even more then everyone else had.

Although she showed a brave face after such abuse was given upon her, Gideon always noticed the faltered smiles or the weak steps she took. 

So once her steps went slightly shaken, the albino boy stood up to his feet and rushed to her side. A very uncharacteristic act for such an egotistical boy.

“Yes, Ah wasn’t sure myself, but whenever you’re ready, Lady Cipher, Ah’d be honoured to accompany ya.”

But after those words were spoken, Gideon whispered to Cordelia;

Giffany was panicking, she wasn’t sure where her boyfriend went. she had been searching for him all day when suddenly she heard him pick up. “Where are you? I am worried sick! Are you injured? Don’t you EVER leave without telling me again.”

“THAT’S NOT IMPORTANT!” She shouted really upset with him. “why would you leave me? was it for another girl? who is she!?” she wondered if there was some electrical device on his hand she could possess. 

That robotic voice was becoming more angry after every word that left her software. It terrified him, sending chills down his spine.

Gideon was out to find Mabel, but now Giffany was practically stalking him via his phone, he’d have to stop for now.
