Heya! Happy new year from red and mun!

Sorry for the egregious amount of inactivity and my sudden dippage 😅 Wasn’t intentional, life just sorta did what it does and got heavy and hectic, my laptop straight up died (TWICE), and then the holidays hit(and fast) and I just got lost up in translation 🤷🏽‍♀️ arguably, the break was needed. My writing muse as a whole was selective and at times nonexistent anyway, and you can’t force these things. I’m better now and a little bit more adjusted time wise (and I THINK my laptop is fixed! So I’m gonna attempt to slowly regain activity and revamp/revive sweet red.

She gives his head a gentle bump, brushing her nose against the back of his head. It’s a rare display of affection that she’ll adamantly deny later (she’s not s o f t, she’s all business and d a n g e r o u s.), exhaling a gust of steam over his shorn hair. There’s a purr, soft like a distant call of thunder. It’s barely a whisper compared to what she’s capable, but it’s there. She gushes at him, fondness hidden behind her golden gaze.

He runs a gloved hand through his now-dampened hair, smoothing it back into place before blowing on her nose in response. He knows it’s not something she can likely feel, but the intended mimicry should be obvious. Nothing escaped those shimmering photoreceptors of hers.

“At least let me put my helmet on first. Steam is fekkin’ hot. Could kill someone like that.”

Gripping a pair of seams between the plating on either side of her nose, he manages to move her head from side to side with surprising ease. It was times like this that he wished Red wasn’t so damn big. Her size was advantageous in combat against both starships and starfighters, but between missions, it made dealing with her feline social needs a conscientious affair.
