I don’t collect stamps.

*Okay.* I’ve had quite a few people ask me about my methods for hiding tags. I don’t hide tags. I take them with me.

Pictured above are fewer than a quarter of the tags we’ve collected over the course of a couple months since we’ve gotten our magnet in the mail. We’ve gotten RFIDS, a slew of super tags we disposed of (they’re very large and not practical to keep), ink tags, golf tags, pencil tags, you name it. I didn’t beep taking ANY of these tags with me. Not once!

I’ve easily carried ten plus tags into a store and not made a sound. Dozens of times. Left with a concealed tag a hundred times without beeping.

What I’ve done is layered a Ziploc container in THREE layers of foil, individually taping each one. Make sure the top has the same amount of foil too! Nothing should be left uncovered! This will counteract the tag detection of the towers.

Everything I’ve read online has suggested using more foil, some people even say to use ten to twenty layers. Seriously? We’ve used three. I haven’t beeped at American Eagle, Express, Abercrombie, Aritzia, Garage, Cleo’s, Ann Taylor, Urban Outfitters, J Crew, Adidas (walking in with a bunch of tags), Payless, just to name a very short few off the top of my head.

You can use any container you’d like! Make it non-suspicious! We haven’t gotten around to making a better one yet. Put the foil on the inside! Make it invisible!

I detag in the dressing room, and place tags in the container. This stops the beeping, I can abandon the container if need be, it’s less likely to be noticed by employees and doesn’t make any crinklimg sounds at all! If you’re taking tags anyway, you have a magnet. So just detag in store. Don’t bother wrapping your whole bag. Waste of time and way more suspicious.

Guyssssss So I used to work at Sephora and I always see tips on here that ARE COMPLETELY wrong!!! Let me help you please bc I lift so much from there

1) THE CAMERAS AREN’T DUMMY, but no one watches them. The managers desks are facing the other wall, and they’re always so busy. There has been one time where I walked into the back and there was one of the managers looking at the camera, and she wasn’t even looking at the monitor. She was doing her paperwork and ran out of room on the desk. I’m not saying be cocky and don’t find blind spots, but if you’re stealthy and you can slip shit in your bag in the cameras view. 2) SA’s WEAR EAR PIECES, which I know is pretty basic info, but if you see someone looking at you and talking or pressing their hand to their ear, leave. They are telling everyone to watch you. 3) ONLY PALETTES AND FRAGRANCE HAVE TAGS, I’m not kidding. That’s it. Most of the KVD eye quads don’t even have tags because they’re small. Clairsonic/Foreo/hair tools such as straighteners or blow dryers will most likely be tagged, but as for other products, go crazy. 4) DON’T YOU DARE LEAVE BOXES! Again, this is obvious. But you’d be surprised how many times when I was working I would find boxes stuffed in random places! It’s annoying, and it just makes everyone angry and super alert to any other shoplifters. Don’t ruin it for your comrades. 5) THEY CANNOT TOUCH YOU. THEY CANNOT CHASE YOU. They can check your bags, but not your purse. Only your shopping bags. 6) During Black Friday, the towers went off about 6 times and nobody even checked them. We just let it beep. It was too crazy to care. Plus, Sephora makes a SHIT TON of money during the holidays, so they don’t really care. 7) BEING IN PLAIN SIGHT IS YOUR BEST FRIEND. bring a partner to block you. I like to stand at the very front of the store, whatever display is up there (usually something like Urban Decay or Too Faced) and look at things while I keep my bag low and slip things in my bag. If they can see your face/head, they don’t think you’re trying to hide from them.

Hello everyone So I’ve been thinking, in my normal everyday life I can’t really talk to anyone about my second life on Tumblr. I mean I can but talking to likeminded lifters isn’t easy. I passed by a post recently about wanting to make a community of people who can support and help each other. A community that can grow, teach, learn and understand each other. Let’s be real this sounds amazing. So I thought I’d give it a try?

That has got to be the most ridiculous title for myself. Anyway. GOOGLE MAGIC TRICKS. LEARN SLEIGHT OF HAND THROUGH MAGIC TUTORIALS.

Guys I was OBSESSED with magic as a kid and I practiced it until I was a junior in high school. You know how easily I took to lifting? Ridiculously. I’ve fucking concealed with employees staring me in the eye during my first ever haul. They can’t tell shit. And they had no idea. There’s tricks you can learn that are INVALUABLE. Of course don’t go running up to lp and concealing in front of them right away. I’ve been playing with sleight of hand and illusions for years. You’d be amazed how much better you can get at lifting if you learn tricks similar to it.
