does anyone else love the vibe when you’re leaving a concert and everyone’s just walking on the roads together or is that just me??

“don’t quit before the miracle happens” is such a powerful and evocative line and it makes me feel so hopeful 

Straight people are so weird. They’re like “cooking is a woman’s job” unless you’re grilling then it’s a mans job. And cleaning is a woman’s job but the mans gotta take out the trash can’t let the ladies touch that icky garbage. And fucking gardening is for women, except mowing the lawn, that’s for men. Who the fuck came up with this shit??

do u ever like feel so absurdly reluctant to do things. like it ain’t even procrastination or laziness anymore u just physically and mentally can’t bring yourself to do anything. u really, really just wanna binge watch youtube until your mind numbs completely or lie on the floor and stare into the abyss. and it’s not like u don’t have “motivation” or anything or even that u don’t want to do it, it’s just. u can’t. idk how ppl just. Do Things. get up and go at it. i have to have an entire existential crisis and like, watch a goddamn motivational film or something first before i do the smallest thing. and it’s june for fuck’s sake.

humans are meant to eat together…. sharing a meal…… preparing a feast together…. so much of american culture has like…. ruined all sense of community idk where im going with this but why are we not coming together for massive feasts unless someone gets married or dies. we should be sharing……… everything…….. why is everyone now so obsessed with being individually independent? i know the cause of all these problems is capitalism but it makes me sad that its gone so far that like…… u dont even ask ur neighbors for shit anymore. we dont trust our communities anymore. humans are meant to rely on each other but we’ve been convinced that the ultimate sign of success is not needing anyone but yourself. i love to need people. i love to be needed. we all do. why is it so unacceptable to need a community to thrive when humanity would have gotten nowhere if we didnt help each other

How clearly does the point need to be made that "police officer" is just a fucking job, one with minimal training and minimal monitoring. It is NOT some kind of promise of honesty, truth, or heroism. It is a bunch of assistant managers with extremely powerful weapons. IF you can understand "pedophiles choose to be priests and teachers so they can get to children", IF you understand "arsonists choose to be firefighters so they can be present at their own crimes" - then you can ALSO understand "people who are bigoted, violent, and power-hungry choose to be cops for the opportunities the job presents" and you can ALSO understand "any occupational culture that chooses fraternity over justice - and the allowance of violence in the name of a unified front - is therefore siding with their worst representatives"

please be gentle to your pets, they trust you so much and believe that whatever youre doing for them is the best thing. they trust you to be kind and benevolent. small critter or otherwise, you have the trust of this animal, and i implore you to be gentle and decent. don’t betray that trust
