Hmm. I'm a bit confused by your analysis of Elizabeth's character. So, I'll just say this. The fact that Elizabeth IS considered a saint DESPITE all of the horrible things that she's done is what makes me not like her-and I'm sure that I speak for all of the Liz haters.
And, I don't think that Rebecca Herbst was fired because the character that the writers control is unliked. I mean, what kind of sense does that make? I don't think that they would fire someone just because the audience didn't like the character that THEY created and wrote for. So, I hope that you don't think that the Liz haters had anything to do with her being fired. I'll speak for everyone again and say that regardless of how much we hate a character, we're always sad to see them go, especially when they don't want to.
So finding out Elizabeth/Rebecca Herbst is being written out I have decided to watch this dreadful soap opera until she goes off the canvas. I have accepted it. I am now enjoying whatever her character is doing on-screen. I read other forums about them complaining how her character is a lying liar that lies: who hasn’t lied on soap operas? Elizabeth must be a character that relates to someone people hate: people who are good naturally and are labeled a “saint”. What the heck? She freaking got raped and before that was a smoking teenager who did some terrible stuff to her sister. She has three babies from different daddies and she is still called a saint? Her haters must suck having to find put-downs for Elizabeth. Because if I was called a saint and it was meant as an insult, I would take it as a pretty weak ass insult and just take it as a compliment. People these days…
