this account is a tribute towards ‘diluc, please come home faster’ cause, so please donate your gacha prayers my way. furthermore, this is a semi-serious indie roleplaying account for the aforementioned as i delve deeper into this vortex; that being said, i’m new to the game, and i have no diluc as you’ve probably figured.

the gacha gods have heard us, and now i have diluc as of 05.03.21! this post is also to welcome you to my bare blog, so yes, i have no guidelines as of yet, so this has to do as a substitute as i build these pages. and... that being said, welcome to the dawn winery aka diluc’s crib, i’m rosé and way over age since i’m soon to turn thirty, feminine pronouns. i’m a certified hag with english as my third language. i’m in some random asian timezone, but i play genshin on american server, in case anyone wants to be friends with me ( and carry me maybe? ). both user number and discord tag available for mutuals, please message me for them!

in his fleeting career as the so-called ‘darknight hero’, he has yet to encounter such debacles. now that he’s trapped in one, he hasn’t foreseen a way out, but he’ll think of something. he always does, doesn’t he? the afterthought often gets him out of the toughest states, yet he hasn’t seen any end of this tunnel. no light, just his own fire to guide him in sight. these abyssal lanes are endless, the pitch-black alleys seemingly narrowing with each step. but alas, diluc knows better than to stay in one spot. he has to keep moving, or else... no, he shouldn’t indulge in the probability of having his survival rate decapitated, even when a minuscule part of him knows that it is more than just plausible at this state. he sighs, worrying over what would happen if he simply relents to his fate. is this it—

no. he refuses to succumb to misfortunes honed by his own hands. this isn’t destiny; he should keep trying, and this is reminiscent of the hours he spent on searching for the truths. the fatui with their cruel intents, but this is not that. the abyssal order is another grandeur scheme which facts he has yet to discover, but he wonders fleetingly if he’s indulged this too far. and when he notices the reek of these abyssal beings as he arrives in one cave, he listens intently in a lapse. the pause proffers slight quietude, met by the magnified terror. there are voices behind him, albeit subdued. knows better than to think of the hilichurls. these aren’t... when his vision glows, the flames are lit, as if on command. perhaps that is the case, when he’s met by the faint purple glow of the slumbering dragon. the laughter of the mages behind him another captive sign, and diluc swallows. yes, he’d be able to hold his ground against the mages, but the dragon? he isn’t certain, the flashbacks of having his father dying in his arms carving weakness in his joints now. he sinks into transient considerations before deciding that he has to battle them regardless, the footfalls of the mitachurls heavy as they close in. diluc knows better than to not regard himself as trapped.

his initial move is to release the flames of dawn, its phoenix manifestation lighting the cave to gauge its height as the mitachurls get carried by its sweep. no, this isn’t a cave. this is a dome, the roar of the dragon behind him is raging, inflicting a sense of tremors that diluc has to suppress if he wants to save himself. at that, he fastens his jaws, wondering which one he should face first. the dragon nearly sweeps him with the claw... this is no dvalin, yet he understands better than to underestimate, leaping backward only to bring himself closer to the mages, the striking stalactites nearly crashing against his head. he’s midway towards the mages, now, when the dragon sinks its claws into his back. he avoids the attack late, lunging sideways only to have his back scratched. bleeding profusely now, he decides to propel towards the mages again when he hears the rumble of the rocks in the dome structure. well, shit. something bigger is to descend... but what? diluc isn’t certain if he can actually hold his ground, now, if it’s something greater than the dragon.

he heard of her supposed arrival before she does, and when he first casts her a glance, he isn’t looking at someone expected. perhaps a wangsheng funeral parlour should... be... more... well, he doesn’t what exactly, but he didn’t look forward to having a seemingly prepubescent girl handling the so-called ‘ghost problems’ that, for diluc, is barely a concrete problem in general. he doesn’t preserve any trepidation towards poltergeists and the likes, the commonality nothing too flagrant when he’s comprehended that not everyone past this life transcended well into the aftermath. when she has handled what she’s hired for, identifying the matter at hand, it’s only courteous of diluc to meet her in person. so, he does.

there is a hint of remorse that comes with diluc whenever he ponders over jean. and kaeya, but that’s another matter entirely. doesn’t believe it’s appropriate to correlate thoughts with kaeya when it’s jean’s day, and so, when he pretends to not notice her birthday, he truthfully far from the aforementioned state. she’s a dear friend of his, the past a bridge that spans between them, and he knows that she harbours a semblance of resentment towards him for it, regardless of his stance. it’s never palpable, but diluc knows. of course he does—he would have felt similarly if he were in her shoes. so, today, he sinks into the rumination over how to deliver a better birthday wish than the previous days, and when he decided to ask lumine to bribe the knight, for the knight to eventually inform jean that a bar fight has happened in the tavern in diluc’s absence, he knows that she would... maybe fall for the simple scheme once again.

as typical, angel’s share is filled with the clamouring cacophonies. the clatter of teeth that speak too many words, awash by the weight of the renowned wine in the whole teyvat—the entirety of it has been a commonality for diluc, colouring his nights with the bestowed routines. polishing the glasses behind the counter, he sinks into his own thoughts before realising that, again, the patrons are clambering for tifa’s attention. not abnormal, just a sore sight since he knows that tifa is not here for that purpose, but he knows all too well that she can protect herself. and it’s never going to be the first time that diluc’s warning about ‘covering up’ goes unheeded, so he’d rather not try again, even when the part of him seems to stay unrelenting about that. as a boss, he’s bound to protect his employees. besides, tifa is a friend...

the resonating echo of their laughter paints the tavern with a sense of deliberate intents that sometimes diluc doesn’t know how to perceive. venti is barbatos, sometimes he has to remind himself over and over again, but that doesn’t alter the perspective that he has about the archon. venti is still someone donning a garment of feigned mortality that has yet to synchronise himself with the mundane artifices. mora, so the tab keeps on growing to the point where diluc is certain that venti cannot afford it unless he’s to perform a miracle. meanwhile, his company for the day... well, the night, is a gentleman, or so he seems. zhongli is another stray soul that lately often graces the tavern with his visits, alongside venti even when they cannot feel more contradictory: venti with the medium-sized humane body, and zhongli with the immensely tall build that diluc cannot evade in terms of attraction. not that he’d admit to that, but still.

he sinks into the pit of reverie only to realise that he’s been lost enough to surpass the opening hour. he starts noticing when his staff members begin to bid him goodbye, but yes, diluc has taken it upon himself to close the bar tonight, imposing something unusual upon himself. no, tonight, the darknight hero is going to be another no-show, too. he sighs, eventually done with polishing the glasses. setting them down, he waits until it’s around twenty minutes past the closing hours... the dawn is to come, and he’s to return to the winery soon, but he prolongs the minutes, seconds, pilfering the sight of the god’s company while letting the cogs of his thoughts turning. he’s always wondered if the acquaintance is another archon, and while he has his own guesses, he believes that none is enough as supporting evidence to back off his surmised suspicions. and besides, he needs to really sever the filament of these thoughts, so he does what he must: approaching the last two patrons of the tavern, maintaining his usual gaze at venti as he crosses his arms in front of his chest. “it’s past the closing time already, may i close the tabs for you, kind sirs?” he asks with a hint of sarcasm, but he cannot be as snark when it comes to zhongli. hell, he cannot even spare the man past a glance.

xiao, but not xiao. he’s the reflective demon of xiao’s, manifesting according to his visage, adopting a vessel so similar to xiao in the human world, but essentially he isn’t xiao, just the karmic mirror of his. he doesn’t eat almond tofu... instead, he feeds on the dark energy of every being, an enabler of everything negative since that’s how he survives. he isn’t native to the human world, and was created ( unintentionally, conscience and sentience formed from the bad karmas harboured by the real xiao ) in the karmic world, so his venture in teyvat is nothing if not to simply survive. he exudes gentle dark aura upon taking off the mask of yaksha, and emits thrice as much as real xiao’s negative energy when he does... and therefore, thrice the damage. if anyone cannot differentiate the smokes, then he’s distinguished from the way he can actually wield twin spears, his singular one detachable into two. see exhibit childe when it comes to the versatility in combat, can make the dual spears into boomerangs also, that he tosses and retrieves once he teleports.

he is essentially also a shadow walker since the human world often weakens him, especially when he hasn’t eliminated opponents. also, since he’s a reflection, he can detect the real xiao’s presence, and also teleport wherever the real deal is through water body, manifesting from the mirrored image. the real xiao also can summon him through the use of mask of yaksha, especially when the energy is depleted. therefore, he’s like a last resort. younger than xiao by about a few hundred years, sharing his memories, pains, but isn’t necessarily tormented by it since he’s... well, the villain in xiao’s psyche. they are identical in teyvat, but because he’s essentially ‘xiao’, he’s not extremely inclined to be seen with the real xiao, and has a penchant for lying about his connection with xiao, claiming that he’s the ~ inferior twin ~ so that people who know xiao don’t question why he’s different. more mischievous, he also harbours more interests in knowing humans, and also favours those who sin a lot because he feeds on that negative energy. furthermore, he’s not keen on engaging in anything too positive, so if you’d like to ship with him *winkwonk* he’s not the healthiest person around, latching onto those that he believes has the potentials to provide him with his meals. after all, bad karmas keep him alive here.

liyue is a view askew, its splendour indubitable but diluc indulges more in the fact that he has been frequenting the city for something... someone else entirely. the ulterior motive is justified, he believes, even when it means to perform another act of negligence towards the winery. that is also not to blame— he’s been all too dedicated to preserving the legacy, including in mondstadt’s safety, that he believes he can cut himself some slack. reuniting with xiao once again has always felt like forever, and when he couldn’t find xiao in wangshu inn, he knows where to head. considering that xiao has been somehow employed—good for him, diluc would like to think, since it’s bad for those who is infested with the plagues of demons to dwell in his loneliness—diluc is quick to set his entrance into liyue, striding towards where he can find his other half. and so, when he asks the millelith guarding the door, getting the insinuated affirmative answer that yes, xiao is inside doing a heap of paperworks, diluc suppresses a chuckle. people of liyue are certainly strange; now that their archon and adepti are employed... well. at least they can contribute to the modern society of liyue, somehow. but still.
