          The detective lets out a sigh of frustration, a gentle sort of agitation; the case he'd been working on has gone nowhere (perhaps in a full circle), and he's been wasting his time, spiraling around what he knows to be a handle on the case, on the people involved, but he can't -- he can't get to it. He can see it, right there in front of him, but he can't get it out of her; out of... the girl he arrested during the first instance of this overarching case. She won't tell him anything, and part of him thinks that she just doesn't know -- but that, he can't accept that.

So he stays within a knot, stuck in place; perhaps it'd be best to ask someone for assistance, for a bit of guidance -- hence his presence here, now, sighing in an old acquaintance's room.
