//okay so after some thought I’ve decided to put Red on small hiatuses for the time being-- nine blogs are too much for me to try and keep active, so by putting her on hiatus for a bit it will make my life a lot less stressful.

“It’s not a damn delusion, it’s a fact.”  Black Star growled lowly at the red gem.  She didn’t care what the other gems thought of her.  To Black Star, being a defect was just who she was and there was no changing it.  Plus, she liked the way she came out, being small had its advantages.

Black Star glanced from side to side as the Obsidian gestured her arms out wide, showcasing the drills and empty holes.  “Why would I want your stuff?  I just like traveling.  In fact, this island is a rather popular destionation for humans-” she paused at the last question.  Should see say anything?  All Black Star knew was that she didn’t want to put the gem hybrid, Steven, in any danger by mentioning his existance.

“Survivors?  I dunno.  But I’ve met a number of gems that’ve come to this planet.. some that even wanna.. find that one gem.. Jasper.. the perfect Quartz or whatever, though I know what happened to her.”

RED Obsidian let it rest there, for now; the little gem could believe whatever           she wanted, but in the red gem’s eyes she was a RUNT that should have           NEVER happened. A DEFECT.

AT least that’s what she was always led to believe under the influence of the           Diamonds.

“OH, I don’t know. One can never be too careful.” Her eyes narrowed slightly           at the smaller gem; if she didn’t want to take anything, then that meant           she must not be aware of what Red Obsidian was doing. GOOD. Hope-           fully she could keep it that way. “I’m well aware this island is a human           magnet, but luckily the Diamonds placed my Kindergarten in an area no           humans wish to traipse upon.”

Thin fingers tugged at the knot in his tie and the top three buttons of his shirt, sweat beading at his neck and forehead. He was tolerant of heat and enjoyed it far more than anything on the colder side, but there was only so much he could take when wearing as many layers as he did. Shedding his jacket seemed like a good idea, but he was too busy admiring the stranger in front of him.

The look of annoyance on her already stoic face was endearing and brought color to the man’s already flushed face. “I’m sorry, my sweet~! I had no idea you were walking behind me. Let me just move out of your way.”

Sliding to the side, he flashed the woman a cheesy, love-struck smile. 

“Has anyone told you that you’re radiant?” He meant it as a cheesy compliment, usually, but she was quite literally radiating so much heat that he was considering removing his suit jacket again.

HER countenance fell slightly at the way the human responded, the smile upon           his face confusing her. “...Good. It’s about time you moved--” She had           attempted to bring back the bite in her voice, but it was it was nothing           more than a nip.

STARTING to walk past him, Red Obsidian was ready to move on through           this human city, but then the human spoke again. She stopped mid step,           slowly putting her foot back in place on the ground as her gaze returned           to the man with a befuddled expression.

“OF course I’m radiant; I’m radiating heat.” Too literal for her own good, the           red gem placed her hands upon her hips and rolled her eyes. “You humans           are so strange, always stating the obvious.”

RED Obsidian got in the creatures face, brow quirking at him as a snarl formed           on her lips. Was she trying to intimidate him? Call his bluff? Yes. However,           as she looked into his eyes for a bit longer she realized it wasn’t a bluff; it           was the truth.

//finally gets on to give Red love, can only muster up energy for those three asks-- I’ll try and give her some attention tomorrow guys! also, I made a new blog and once I finish/get a bulk of her icons done I’m gonna be active on her (thought I’d just. casually. link her to y’all here u3u)
