If My Demons Could Type

I think I loved you in pieces; shattered glass. I think I liked the blood on my tongue when you said you would never come back.

I'm just this outer shell now, you left with all that was inside of me; one minute we were fine and the next I was looking down at the bloodstains covering my chest, wondering where my heart went. 

I can’t admit what you've done, tried to say it out loud; forever choking on the words, spitting blood out of my mouth.

He tells me I look beautiful and I tell him he’s a liar. Dark eyes, a cold smile and oh god he's all I have ever desired. I'm hooked on him like he's heroin, igniting my veins; he wraps his hands around my throat and I wait to feel the flames.
