She feels like a warm blanket while, having a cup of hot soup by the bonfire. She’s like that moment of sunset, watching which is my only desire.

You melted this man, whose heart was made of steel. You whiplashed his world, made him feel how it feels to feel.

Take me back to the careless nights, Which we spent looking into each other’s eyes. Take me back to the pointless fights, Which we ended always having each other in sight.

All around and within, need you like oxygen. Through the grief and the pain, love you like a Pelican.

There will always be a lot, what we failed to see. That’ll keep me wondering about you and me.

Even through the darkest days, This heart will yearn you, always. Even through the coldest nights, This fire burns, always..always.

And now here I lie within my ruins. Weathered, as I numbly feel my eyes tear up. Regretful of all my lifelong doings. Battered, as I sullenly see myself bleed out.

What I feel for you can’t be conveyed in words or phrases; it either screams out loud or stays painfully silent but I promise you —

“You are what happiness means to me. I’d rather have today with you than forever with anyone else.”

“But when I got down to it, I was doomed without her. She’s the breath in me.”

She’s the hint of cinnamon in my coffee. She’s the cool breeze one longs after a long day, often the reason I freeze, and simply wish to stay. She’s my comfort zone, to whom my heart is prone. She is the point of difference. She is her.

You speak your mind, but can’t control your rage. You cease to remember. “A Gilded Cage is still a Cage.”

It’s not me who needs to accept that I’ll find someone else.

What if they’re all lying? What if it never gets better? What if I never forget her? What if I never stop feeling that sinking feeling? What if that void never fills up, what if the sky never lights up? What if this emptiness is all that’s meant to be felt? What if her remaining scent is all that’s meant to be smelt? What if nothing changes? What if these nights only got darker? What if I never escape this torture? What if…

And to this day I remember, what she wore when I first saw her. How tender her laugh sounded, And to this day; things haven’t changed one bit. Neither her laughs, nor how much I love hearing them.
