kaleidoscope make my day

i had to get this all out one way or another i spent all day thinking about them

this is all based off my thoughts about how magic can affect a persona user’s body outside of battles and such

like yusuke having some type of ice breath that also has a really tiny amount of wind magic

and an excited ryuji sending very light shock waves through others when he’s touching them

somehow i’ve arrived right back in ryukita territory

like i can imagine things going normally in the metaverse

but then yusuke leans in a little too close

or ryuji holds on a little too tight

and now things aren’t as normal as they used to be

it’s a good thing joker didn’t see any of those moments right?

(he saw. he saw all of those moments. and he’s taking notes. so many notes.)

when ryuji gets excited he sends very tiny shock waves through other people’s bodies when touching them

like you can feel it happen but it doesn’t really hurt you

he’s completely unaware of and has no real control over it

and the other phantom thieves kinda have a collective moment of “why do i feel so tingly whenever he touches me?”

but then one day morgana goes “keep your damn magic in check skull!!!” because electricity weakness makes him more sensitive to it

and then they kinda start arguing as usual

“how the hell am i supposed to keep it in check when i never even knew i was doin’ it in the first place?!?”

“hasn’t anyone else brought it up to you?”

“NO???? you were the first to effin’ tell me!!”

“HUH???!?!”

cue morgana looking over to the rest of the group who kinda just stand there

and futaba raises her hand like “oh i knew the whole time i just didn’t say anything lol”

“ORACLE!!!!!”

and now everything is starting to make sense

just a lil bit though

unfortunately now that ryuji knows what he’s been doing he kinda just ends up keeping his distance (especially from morgana because electricity weakness)

like yusuke’s breath being a whole lot colder in there

and there was like one time where he maybe breathed a little too hard on ryuji

and ryuji immediately jumps and scurries away with a red face that his skull mask luckily covers a good amount of

everyone else witnessed that so now the “incident” can’t be something they can just brush off or ignore

yusuke wonders if ryuji doesn’t like how cold his breath is in the metaverse when it’s really just the wind weakness

which is weird because breathing isn’t all that magical but i guess the added ice just makes it a tiny bit so or whatever

using the phantom thieves (minus mona because there are only seven singers) and borderline as a test run for something else i got in mind

okay i confess i like ryukita just enough to draw them based on a song i like

so i was listening to imas songs when i remembered that there was one called furachi na canvas (lawless canvas in english)

i have a bit of an attachment to the song trilogy this one’s part of

stuff about vapor trails and a red tote bag

and how each song in the trilogy is from a different pov

(funnily enough the second song has a line that translates to “it's a tale of meeting pirates drowning in love” i completely forgot that was there lol)

i like could’ve linked the 3dmv from deresute though but oh well you can find it on youtube though

the full song isn’t available for streaming (typical deresute) but you might be able to find it if you search hard enough

i got the translated lyrics from the project imas wiki too by the way

like how there was like a meme thing in japan circulating around like a couple months ago that i could summarize as “some twisted individual replaced all eating utensils with sugakiya spoon forks (ramen spork) and there are at least three characters crying because they can’t eat anything with it and one character who’s doing just fine and then there’s another character who’s red with anger because what the fuck and also they’re all portrayed by low-quality nui pngs”

by the way the origin of this meme was an aipri post

shitty ann takamaki doodle with the context being a certain friend bought himself a brand new graphic tee but he has no idea what the words say because it’s english

they were doing karaoke and it was ryuji’s turn on the mic and yusuke was like “wow :0 such an angelic voice :0”

everything else gets a lil blurry after that but i remember one of them saying something like “he sounds just like an idol, don’t you think?” and then i think they kept trying to make ryuji sing more

(it’s probably the mamoru miyano genes)

the thing about it though was that i was watching it from an out-of-bounds perspective

yes they were in the karaoke booth but the booth was floating in a sky void thing

this is all i got so far for my silly oc

he’s a bit of a mess but he’s my mess

i guess a big point in his design is that i’ve made him with a snake-like resemblance in mind and the bright yellow eyes add to his uncanniness that leads people to avoid him

in fact, the phantom thieves are initially thrown off by him at first because of his oddly yellow eyes

however, he is just a regular human being at the end of the day

also he cannot understand morgana it’s all meows to his ears

even though he and yusuke are classmates, iku finds himself hanging out with ryuji the most (because he thinks he’s cute and cute boys deserve cute nicknames)
