Helios in his chariot on a relief from a temple in Troy, 3rd-4th century BCE. Helios was the Greco-Roman sun god. Ancient people would often invoke Helios when taking oaths because, as the sun, he could see everything.

This Overview shows colorful patterns of farmland in northwestern Iran, close to the Azerbaijan border. This area is located within the Moḡān Plain, a large fertile steppe along the bank of the Aras River. It provides important pasture and grazing land for sheep, goats and other livestock.

“The Roman Dream”  The Vettii brothers had been slaves; Together they become businessman, became wealthy and owned this Mansion (Domus) which is among the most opulent in Pompeii.
