-grey mechanic jumpsuit with orange accents

-way less scars

-family history of engineers

-dad died a few years ago in the aftermath of a villain attack, grandpa died of natural causes

-previous batch of phoenix program (maybe same group as Royd?) after getting caught and arrested for hacking, OR not phoenix program at all and just a regular employee who wanted regular hours and medical benefits lol

-perhaps lives with chase (who is much younger - didnt feel a need to use his powers as much with robert in his life & without the brave brigade or robbies death)

-works at sdn torrance for all teams as a mechanic, creates and repairs gadgets for heroes to use in the field (think mha support team?)

-kind of awkward / a loner but gets adopted by the z team after one of his gadgets inadvertently saves one of their lives

herman:

-splashdown

-(but often gets called other names like waterboy / waterman / wet guy by villains heckling him - think spider-man)

-hero outfit either blue or white wetsuit i dunno

-not a legacy hero but heavily encouraged by his grandma (who maybe was a vigilante or support hero back in the day?)

-previously had extremely good control of water powers - essentially made a giant mech out of water surrounding his body

-wasn’t wet all the time due to said power control. can also breathe in water

-got injured in an accident / explosion fighting… whoever shroud will be in this au (brainbook?). lived but after his coma had extensive brain damage that caused neurological issues (including both his stutter and making him lose all control of his water powers)

-extremely frustrated by this but cannot fix it. maybe could be fixed by extremely expensive experimental surgery but being a solo hero does not make good money. also has extensive medical debt. possibly why he joined SDN in the first place

alice:

-idk probably still prism. suggestions welcome

-lowkey an ecoterrorist

-takes a bit of flambae’s role in this au as a foil for herman + a bit of coupe’s role as the quiet but violent type

-still extremely famous on social media / because of her music. used to be way more public with her appearances but gained several persistent stalkers a few years ago and became extremely traumatized due to an Incident with one of them. now is almost entirely anonymous, does not do concerts / live events / post photos of her face anymore

-lost it and went completely scorched earth trying to kill the stalker. caused some kind of horrific electrical incident that takes the place of flambae and robert’s battle here. herm managed to knock her out and get her arrested. i think instead of alice getting a permanent injury in this one (like flambaes hand) herm would get injured instead.

-prison was not kind to alice. electrical injuries were not kind to herman. and thus a rivalry is born

chad:

-inferno

-prism’s role as the famous and self obsessed one. male model.

-a bit kinder than in canon and a lot less crimes. mostly property damage to mess with rival models, people he doesnt like on set, & anyone who creeps on him at the club. has set a LOT of cars on fire

-is used alongside phenomaman and blazer as one of the faces of SDN. main reason why he was even taken into the phoenix program in the first place since he is still terrible at taking orders
