Koya, The Idol Butterfly

First of all the number of bugs we can collect on the home screen will be increased to 40 (and the reward increased to 20 whole idollars) from now until 8/15/2026 at 23:59. I want to note that for people who already collected this week's bugs after the Sunday refreash, it has been reset now, so it's actually possible to earn 25 gold idollars this week.

New poses have been added. I love them all but they cost 200 gold idollars so be careful not to buy them if you don't want to. Clicking on them and cancelling out allows you to preview them like above.

Things have been tweaked so that hopefully our phones won't get so hot when running Idol Land this summer.

Also, a new tropical gacha has been added and it's quite interesting to me.

I really had no idea there were so many variations on the Milky Heart Cyalume. A quick google search tells me this one was an ancient Ciao magazine bonus.

Another thing to note is the Fruit Cocktail coord in the bottom center, which was Eko's casual coord if it looks famliar.

I'm perhaps the most excited about the Hawaiian Aloha coord in the bottom left though! The Hawaiian coords are my favorite Coco Flower coords and IVE BEEN WAITING for these. There are at least four more color variations in addition to the orange one (white, pink, purple, yellow) so I guess they'll release them sparodically... (or perhaps more accurately, release a few more then hold off on the last one for an abnormally long amount of time).

And finally, we get a preview of Fuwari's birthday gacha to be released on 8/11.

There are five slots accessible by clicking on your character's icon in the top left. The first additional slot is free, the second is 1,000 gold idollars, the third is 1,500, and the fourth is 2,000.

As soon as you unlock a slot, you will name your character and then proceed to choose their character parts.

All characters have their own rank, but have access to your full inventory of character parts.

Each character also has their own profile! But as far as I can tell, this page exists solely so you can change your character's name. Yes, it costs 300 gold idollars but we can change character names again! I don't think your additional character profiles are viewable by others but please let me know if wrong.

Each of your characters also has access to your full coord inventory, and even gets their own favorite coord slots.

Characters can also create their own promises. Whatever promise you create with a character will be locked to that character. This means that if you create a promise with one character, then switch, you will get this error:

(And if you do, simply switch characters back to play the promise as normal.)

You can also (and I am so estatic because I didn't know if they were going to do this) play promises with your other characters!

Simply create an instant promise (いますぐ) and select the MyChara option (皆のマイキャラ) and you should see your other characters right at the top.

Some other quirks I've noticed: -Characters all share the same Idol Bonus Rank (the daily mission one) -But like mentioned above, characters have individual MyChara ranks (the numerical ones... why do we have two things called Idol Rank?) but I don't think there is much point in grinding additional characters. As far as I can tell, it slightly impacts scoring but nothing else. (There are no rank-up bonuses for additional characters I think?)

Hopefully this photo clarifies what I mean: Hinode has Luna's 50% Platinum Rank score bonus, but her MyChara Idol Rank Bonus is bronze as her MyChara Idol Rank is 1 (whereas Luna is Rank 125 and she gets a gold bonus for that one).

Poemu is a work in progress I had in mind for a while. First named M.A.R.S.H.M.A.L.L.O.W. (each letter is part of her full name, she was supposed to part of a noble family) I later was inspired by Naru's beta name which fit the unit name I had in mind for years.

This week update they are gonna add the multiple characters feature! Which means it times to buy/ use up those gold!

I'm currently unable to change my coord due to this error. It says "Data refresh failed. Retry?"

Retrying and restarting the app hasn't fixed it. I'm wondering if there was a problem with the login bonus t-shirt today. I already collected it and was trying to change into it.

So i haven't really been active, ive been logining in for the bonus tickets but thats it. I recent moved house so ive been busy moving in and working, but I found a bit of time today to finish one of my sketches!

A very summery update today, 7/22/2026.

First up there is a summer festival yukata gacha featuring some rare gummy pack coords as well as the Sparking Fox coord which I'm surprised we didn't get before now considering we have had the Sparking Toytoy coord since maybe the beginning.

Idol Land tends to hold back just one color variation from every set just to release it randomly years later. Why? Who knows...
