Pierrot mentions that it was the six of them, so that includes Columbia. So from the timeline it was either while they were under the control of the ring master or it was before him.

Since they were sitting together, maybe it was before the ring master?

So the timeline stuff is leaving me unsure about possible outfits they could have worn but i'm also not sure what they wore during those times generally speaking. (I also can imagine that the ring master would force the circus members who are more monstrous rather than humanoid in appearance be almost completely bare to show off their "unnatural appearance" to the audiences and to further dehumanize them for entertainment.)

The earliest outfits they wore, that I know of, is from when Pierrot was actually dressed like a Pierrot and Harlequin had that fuckass hat, but I'm pretty sure that those outfits came about after the death of Columbina since we never see her in those comics + the lack of ring master's presence, probably signifying that he's dead.

I was in the middle of drawing the both of them, when I thought that Harlequin's mask reminds me a lot of the tears streaming down Pierrot's mask, but with more jagged edges— mirroring Harlequin's personality.

So I basically just had like a big "Ohhhhhh" moment—

I feel like the masks in general represent their grief in a way

And so maybe the edges of his "tears" don't reach the end of his mask because he is less open about his vulnerability(?)

Going through my sketchbook I found some super old sketches of Pierrot. I like how in @littlecharmingenvy's pfp he has Pierrot drooling under his mask but I don't think it came out that well on my drawing haha.

While moving out I lost the pen for my drawing tablet </3

I've been trying to save up for a new pen, but that's going to take a while— so in the meantime I gotta go back to using my reliable sketchbook.
