When you wake up to rough hands

When his hand is forcing you still

When his fingers are pressing into you

When he sees you cry and licks your face

Telling you that you look so pretty when you sleep

That he simply couldn’t resist you

As if that makes up for the violation

For the terror and dread you feel when you realise your position

It’s not fucking funny

When you realise that there is nothing you can do except lay there and take it

When you realise that you are trapped beneath the hands of a man who looks at your true pain and moans in pleasure

When you realise that you have no say over yourself or your body

When you realise that there is no way out of this… not ever

It’s not fucking funny

When your own body betrays you, finding pleasure in his movements even as your mind screams that this is torture

When he sees your back arch under his touch and takes that as an open gate to the most intimate parts of you

When you cry and beg him to stop, to have mercy and he replies with “oh baby, I could do much worse. But you’re enjoying yourself, just look at you. Why would I stop when you look so pretty and it feels so good… for the both of us”

When you walk out later that morning, sore and hurting in more ways than one, and the one person you tell says “are you sure that happened? You know some people just lightly brush parts of you asking for permission or in their sleep. He doesn’t seem like the kind of guy who would do something like that, rape someone. You’re being dramatic”
