Jumba Jookiba is based on Jumba from Lilo & Stitch. He is a 30 year old alien, scientist, and uses he/him pronouns. He has no powers.

JUMBA NEVER CARED FOR THE REPUATION SOME PLACES in Evermore had. He had lived a long life so far with dangers far greater than a dive bar presented before him. Perhaps it was not the place, but the people. Having spent a short amount of time in a prison cell, Jumba didn't care whom he was with, so much as he wasn't alone. Sitting on a stool at the bar he sipped on his larger with distain. "I order this everytime. It is disgusting.. my friend-- what is it you are drinking? Does it taste better than this rotten urine?"

JUMBA SLOUCHED INTO THE CHAIR REMOVING HIS large jacket, happy to have had it shield it from the cold outside. Having left his toolbox at the door he relaxed into a comfortable position across from Nani. "I have made much improvements to your decorative lights outside. You now have the options of still, twinkling, slowly changing and now you can have rave." he explained, folding his hands across his stomach. "If you ask me, rave is the most fun.. but may not be suitable for small children. Such luck Lilo and the others are all grow up yes?"

JUMBA SAUNTERED DOWN MAIN STREET SIPPING ON a cup of delicious hot chocolate, whilst his arms looped through the handles of many shopping bags. He had more people to buy for this year-- not that he was complaining. Especially not in the company of Lilo. "Have you found everything you've been looking for?" he asked, narrowly avoiding a collision with another anxious shopper. "Remember do not worry about me or uncle Wendy. He has much too many things as it is... there is no more room Lilo. Only trinkets we do not need."

JUMBA FIDDLED ANXIOUSLY WITH HIS JACKET as he moved up in the queue. He wasn't even that hungry, in fact the looming presence of seeing 625--Reuben, was enough to make his stomach twist. Locating his creations wasn't all that hard.. but conjuring up the courage to face them was damning. Reaching the top of the queue Jumba tried his best to relax and plaster a calming smile across his face. "Good-day Reuben. Might I uh.. have a chicken salad on wholegrain and umm.." he patted his jacket pocket and took out his wallet. "Maybe request we have a lunch together.. sometime?"

UPON LEARNING OF ANGELS' ARRIVAL TO EVERMORE, Jumba wasted no time in tracking down 624 & 625, believing himself to be entirely responsible for any havoc they may or may not have wrecked upon the town. In his finest shirt he booked a table at Guesteau's, dining as finely as he could without Wendy's constant instructions. When Angel finished her performance he made his way to the festively decorated bar, hands sweaty at the thought of their reunion. "Uh excuse me-- Miss Angel?" he asked. "I would love an autograph should it be okay. Even more... a moment or two of your precious time."

JUMBA PUSHED UP THE GOOGLES FROM OFF his eyes to ontop of his head, and he placed the welder down onto his workbench. He wasn't entirely well versed in being a 'tough love' kind of guy.. but sometimes he had to turn up the authority-- even if Stitch was stronger, faster & more intelligent than he. "Stitch" Jumba called, his voice lingering on the h at and the of his name. "Were you going to tell me about experiments 624 and 625?"

It was official, Fairs were now Webby’s new favorite thing. Or at the very least they were in the top ten, right under solving mysteries and glitter. And this Ferris Wheel was the cherry on top. Was a fair even a fair without a Ferris Wheel? Webby wasn’t convinced. She stared up at it, trying to take in its engineering, until a voice snapped out her of it.

“Right!” She nodded, pretending she totally knew what movie star he was talking about, definitely. “Oh, absolutely, I’m going to get the best view of the town from up there, I’ve never been able to see it from above!” It was going to make such a great picture for her conspiracy board.

Jumba enjoyed connecting with the humans, they could be delicate, persistent & sometimes too complicated for their own good but nevertheless, Jumba was very fond of them and their little quirks. Like for instance the kid in the queue beside him, radiating that curious energy he’d seen so much of in Stitch. Perhaps all earthly children were like alien children; unhinged. “That makes a pair of us-- sorry, two. That make’s two of us.” Jumba corrected himself, having grown tired of Wendy’s picking on his grasp of the slang. “I would think they send you in groups no? It could be fun to share a cart. I promise to not shake it... very much.”

Festivals were Harry’s shit. He loved a festival, especially one with rides, food, games - all in the name of summer. Brilliant. He had been able to slip out of the tavern for a few hours before having to go back and start the dinner prep and was in line for the ferris wheel, lost in his own thoughts, when a voice cut through. “The 80s…and which movie star is that?” Harry asked with a laugh as he turned his full attention onto the other. “Oh yeah, absolutely. Nothing’s keeping me from the top of that wheel.”

“Aah mm yes, well you see the name escapes me-- but it’s probably something like.. John.” Jumba replied, there were so many movies & shows to watch, music to listen to, all so he could join in on pop culture conversations that it left little room in his gigantic head for unimportant things, like names & places. Piquing interest Jumba looked from the man in front of him to the wheel next to them. “Excellent. Perhaps we can ride together? Yes? I would like to see how small the people look from the top.”

coraline had been kicking around the fair most of the afternoon, trying their hand at balloon darts and ring toss and that weird “get the whiffle ball in the cup to win - no, not that cup, the other one. aw, damn - it bounced! better luck next time :(” game. they knew they were all rigged but it never hurt to try to beat the system. they settled on a bag of blue cotton candy as a consolation prize for their efforts.

it wasn’t all for naught, they reminded themself as they tossed a puff of sugary blue fluff in their mouth, their scuffed converse leading them to the ferris wheel line. the ride was only worth it after dark, if you asked them. all the lights of the fair visible from one little metal gondola. the words like the 80’s movie star pulled them from their sugary reverie, gaze landing on the fellow who’d taken up place behind them in line. “…bueller?” they blurted, a pang of regret instantly hitting them. shut up coraline. you don’t wanna talk to randos in the ferris wheel line. they nodded at his question nonetheless. “yeah. best way to end the night is a ferris wheel ride - the darker it is outside, the better. the lights look really cool from up there.” they said, nodding up towards the hulking metal structure of the ride.

“Yes, with the car and carrie bradshaw” Jumba replied enthusiastically, as he began to read the guidelines for the ferris wheel. ‘You must be this tall’, ‘do not rock the cart ’, ‘please stay inside the cart at all times’. Very boring stuff indeed. He had been to many different events back in Hawaii, but he thoroughly enjoyed the Evermore festivities that Mayor Reed worked so hard on. Jumba could not imagine all the tedious amount of work that went into this kind of organization-- but then again, a desk job was not for him. “You are serious?” Jumba asked, turning his attention to the kid next to him, on first impressions they couldn’t have been much older than Lilo or Stitch. “Very interesting yes. Mmm I wonder, do you think there is a way to dim the lights? For maximum viewing?” Jumba asked, eyes glittering as he took in the sight of the wheel. “Perhaps maybe I wait like everyone else, no?”

“No thank you, uninterested!” Jumba called out as he made his way through the endless rows of carnival games and food stalls. He had already tested his strength, bobbed for apples and rode on a children’s rollercoaster with an A4 photograph and a keychain for proof. Now he just wanted to relax with his cotton candy before he ran into the troublesome duo again asking for more money. “Ah a Ferris wheel-- like the 80′s movie star.” Jumba began as he joined the queue, gazing up to see the wheel in all its glory. “Are you going up too?"

Fraser hadn’t expected that tone of voice when the other saw how he had organized their papers and set everything up in a clean way but maybe that’s how they showed appreciation? “Yes, that was me. I noticed you had a bit of a mess on your hands so I went ahead and tidied it up a bit. Papers are chronological, or at least the ones that had dates are. You’re welcome.”

“Ohhh...” Jumba expressed with a slight deflation in his posture. He understood the gesture and the nature of humans doing helpful things for other humans so Jumba had to be very delicate about his reaction, which was turning very quickly to frustration. “This is very kind of you. To find all of my papers... that must have taken you so much time.” He began, flicking through the piles. “Did you um-- see a levitating toaster design perhaps? -- or universal remote for complete control of all electronic devices?”

james put his hands on his hips, tilting his head. he had found a bunch of junk whilst dumpster diving outside a large building… not even sure what he had brought to the scientist. it apparently had value, according to his words, and the younger shrugged. ❛ i dunno, ❜ james pondered, tilting his head. ❛ case of beer, maybe ?? or… like a gift card, or something ?? oh! a metal detector would be cool…. but, what even is this stuff, anyway ?? ❜

“Can you do red? It doesn’t matter too much as long as it’s not hot pink.” Nothing against pink. It just wasn’t her color. She liked darker tones, with the exception every shade of red and blue. “I know.” She didn’t know. But she couldn’t handle the thought of never seeing Hawaii again. Her parents’ graves. David. The ocean. “So waterproof will be great.”

“No you don’t like pink? Hm must I return your birthday surprise?” Jumba teased, he had known Lilo well enough to understand her quirks, likes & dislikes. He admired the fact she was different to those awful hula class girls, she was perfect as herself, just like Stitch. “Red for you. Perfection.” Jumba smiled solemnly at Lilo, to him it did not matter where he was as long as he was with his family, but she had her whole life in Hawaii. “Did I tell you -- I have a big secret. I am investigating. Maybe actually I could use a hand, are you interested?”

Jumba’s words only did so much, but Stitch was used to that. It didn’t really make things less frustrating but it did make things bearable for a moment. Stitch had to really live his life in moments like that and hopefully he wouldn’t fuck it up too badly later. His anger was settling and that was what mattered. “No, I wouldn’t ask her to do that…” he frowned. “It’s still…not quite same thing…what do we do when we run out of ways to fix everything I break? Then what?” He knew there was going to be a moment where he broke something he couldn’t fix. He would be damned if that involved Lilo, but that didn’t mean he wasn’t destined for it in a sense. He was made to destroy, and he was going to destroy. Unless Jumba could magically rework his genetic makeup he didn’t think he was fully in the clear. “It’s…It’s whatever, I think. I don’t know. I just want my stupid phone fixed before Lilo worries about that.”

Coming to terms with the responsibility of creating Stitch had been a difficult process for everyone involved, Jumba had to accept his wrong doing and try his very best to make it up to Stitch in every way possible. Jumba felt as if he was jumping through hoops to try and repair all the damage he had created, and yet it still didn’t feel like enough. So in moments like these, when he could offer his kid a moment of solace or a sliver of knowledge-- it gave him hope that things would be okay. “I did not think so. Although I also think Lilo could kick a lot of ass as an alien.” Jumba put down his tiny welder and adjusted the spectacles onto his forehead. “We will always find another way. We a team, when we break things we fix them. It is my job as a wonderful inventor, scientist genius to always find solutions! It is your job to live freely and leave the worrying to grown ups like me and Nani-- she is always worrying.. why does she always worry?” Jumba monologued shaking his head. Jumba stifled a smile at Stitch it was rewarding to sometimes outsmart his super computer brain with good old fashioned logic. “Okay-- leave it with me. I will fortify the screen and cover HA and I will only charge you $20!”

Jumba Jookiba at Evermore Pride

Jumba is very excited to get out of the lab and spend some time with the lovely humans residents of Evermore during such a monumental time. He’s really looking forward to watch his fellow neighbors celebrate the historical month of Pride and is very proud activist of loving whomever you want, and being whoever you wish to be.
